BaranovitchiArmyGeneralChange

Description
This mod introduces significant changes to the Army General campaign of Baranovichi, aiming to make the gameplay experience more dynamic and enjoyable while offering new and diverse units to try out.

It is a continuation of the previously published mods focused on the Vistula campaign. If you haven't already, you should check them out
-Visula with only german divisions changed: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3450349849
-Visula with both germans and soviets reworked: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3461615919
-Baltics AG reworked, with only german divisions changed: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3534419772

In this version, nearly all German and Soviet divisions have been thoroughly reworked. The Hungarian divisions, however, remain mostly unchanged. In particular:
-the duration of the battle has been largely increased, identically to the previous mods;
-almost all German regiments have been strengthened;
-almost all Soviet divisions have been strengthened or modified.

The gameplay is carefully balanced, but the Soviets have been granted an advantage in terms of armored units to better reflect the historical nature of the offensive. As a result, the Germans are largely forced into a defensive stance in the main sector.

A key feature of this campaign, emphasised by this mod, is the strategic importance of Stolpce. Both factions are strongly encouraged to fight for control of this city:
- If the Germans capture it, they will receive critical heavy reinforcements from the 12th Panzer Division.
- If the Soviets want to maintain the initiative, they must prevent the Germans from occupying Stolpce and accessing those reinforcements.

If you enjoy the concept and the gameplay of this mod, don’t hesitate to leave feedbacks!

Is possible to release a version that only modify the German/ Soviet Divisions? Appreciate your work!

The next AG campaign I wanted to put my hands on was Burning Baltics... I also want to change the Romanian ones but in this moment I lack free time to work on them... When I will do it, however, I will definitely keep in mind your suggestions! I know that my mod on the Vistula campaign doesn't really change the repetitive aspect of divisions... my goal back then was only to include new units just for fun in the battles! I now realise, as you say, that a better option would be to create unique battalions extremely specialized with cool units, also OP units, so that the repetitiveness of the battles could be eliminated once and for all. Thanks for your words

Hey! I love your work and really enjoyed the changes you've made! I was wondering if you could look into the Romanian campaigns? They all have really repetitive battalions for both factions and every battle feels like the damn same; the unit variety that you offer (even if they could be overpowered) would help tremendously with the slog. Also, in my opinion, don't be afraid to make some units overpowered, so long as you apply that standard across the board in unique ways (it would also be repetitive if all the battalions have the same OP units) --> "this is the OP battalion with lots of heavy tanks, that one with all the rocket arty, this one with the CQC infantry" so there could be highly specialized battalions, since in the Vistula campaign, I saw some units with a bit of everything when, say, a recon battalion shouldn't have like 20 good arty pieces (12 ish 280mm rocket arty) and LSSAH panzergrens but more recon panthers and op recon infantry. Keep up the good work!

That's right. Also, with the provided, increased variety of troops you can organise your attacks to be extremely aggressive! In this mod you are rewarded with a total victory only if you manage to conquer the whole map, so only if you have thought enough on the strategic maps instead of randomly attacking: for example, personally, when I play my mods I always try to bring 5 divisions specialised in different offensives to the attack and maybe only capture a few flags (which are enough to make a battle last) until the perfect,lethal combination of tanks, infantry and artillery is reached. Then I lauch a full scale attack capable of conquering the whole map: I don't know if people agree, but this play-style is my favourite. Calm, organized and reasoned to reach absolute victory

ok that makes sense, i just hate how long a campaign takes with battles that long. Forces me to be more aggressive i guess. thanks, great combination of units.

Thanks! Do you mean that battles should last in total 30 minutes? For now, the time limit is voluntarily extremely long because the requirements for winning or losing a battle have also changed. In my mods you can achieve a victory when you have taken a large portion of the map and, to do so, you must at least make it to phase B because of the time limit. This forces one to manage one's divisions better, but if I am strongly asked, I will make a variant with much less battle time.
