Gives magic using characters the ability to skirmish



Features

This mod does exactly what it says. It gives all magic users the ability to use skirmish mode, same as missile units. No longer will you need to babysit your wizards to stop them from being stabbed by filthy muggles. Now they can live to run away another day!

Just remember that it is skirmish mode and the limitations of that will apply to your mages the same as it will apply to your missile units. They will retreat and try to avoid combat, but since you don't control that movement they may end up getting into more danger. Still, it is better than them being fully stationary.

You might also ask, well what about the AI? Well, the AI is not affected. They already will move their mages out of combat in vanilla and will do the same here whether they are skirmishing or not, so this only really apply to the player. It's a nice quality of life improvement that gets rid of a quite annoying piece of battlefield micromanagement.

If you want to avoid using this to a great extent, put your spellcaster inside your infantry - assuming you have any. If they are flying, you can just land them inside your infantry. Try to keep a melee hero nearby, preferably anti-large, in case you have any further trouble.

The AI seems to be unaffected. They will still decide whether to engage in combat depending on how it would work out for them. In vanilla they will still avoid combat with their mages and that is unchanged.

How is the AI on using this feature? The idea of the AI playing keep-away with Archaon is amusing, but will probably get old in the long run.
