Description
Overview

This mod is designed to rework the gameplay of Sejong to be more powerful, more interesting, and more historically flavorful. Best paired with the Civilizations Expanded mod for balance purposes, one of my favorite mods which unfortunately never got around to overhauling the final batch of leaders.

Hangul

Governors grant +25% Great People points to their cities. Each Great Writer grants a Eureka and each Great Scientist grants an Inspiration. Libraries gain +2 slots for Great Writings; Universities gain +2 slots for Great Music. After unlocking Printing, all Farms gain +3 Culture and +3 Yield from each adjacent specialty district.

A New Take On Sejong

Sejong's default leader ability is often regarded by the community as among the most boring designs in the entire game. It vaguely captures what he's about but is ultimately too simplistic and fails to make you approach Korea very differently. This is tragic, as Sejong himself is one of the most diversely accomplished and renowned leaders in world history! My design seeks to overhaul and increase the depth of Sejong's gameplay, highlight the most interesting aspects of his rule, and encourage the player to act as he would.

Guide your people to victory, leading them by example in the mold of the ideal sage king. Fill your government with the most talented minds of every discipline, bring prosperity through scientific and cultural innovation, and cultivate an enlightened, harmonious society through a script that will uplift even the common farmer. Should you manage to raise a nation that has mastered virtue and wisdom, Korea will surely shine like Heaven above all others, a beacon of order in a world of chaos.

Compatibility

I tested this mod with an extensive mod list and experienced no issues. The only mods which would likely conflict are ones which attempt to alter the same subject. Therefore, it would be unwise to run two Sejong reworks at once. Otherwise, I have programmed integrated features so that players who enjoy the Urban Complexity series can have a more seamless experience. If you play with District Expansion: Campus, I have extended the Great Work slots bonus to the School and Academy buildings. If you play with District Expansion: Entertainment in which the Entertainment districts generate Gold, Farms will acquire a +3 Gold adjacency bonus from these districts as a unique yield.

Hello. If anyone considering this mod is unhappy with its balance for some reason, then you should know I was responsible for reigning him in a bit and it was absolutely absurd before.

So it would be my fault for not catching something. Hang me in the gallows. :)
