Description
Operation: Sun Dance
[Info]
A mission pack + campaign
(sort of) A prequel to Operation Songbird
  • 9 primary missions
  • Medium to Large maps
  • Warlord + Custom Enemies

In lieu of making a non-CIA campaign, I made one that is.
CIA not required, though. I had a fun run with Rangers + IOV, but the missions are still much easier with them.
I messed around with modded units as well.

Briefing
The CIA has greenlit a new offensive, to deploy a variety of its assets to the turbulant south Neighboristan where many freedom fighters stand up against the authoritarian regime for a better future.

You play as CIA handlers, training and leading local resistance groups with your superior experience. Work alongside local resistance fighters and help their fight against an authoritarian leadership.

The visual armor (plate carrier) is a separate thing from the plates you would equip to a unit. It has to be manually loaded similar to the unit’s cosmetic appearances. I gave them the vest from the rangers. You could probably figure out what’s what by looking at the ranger’s unit code.

like the CIA level 4 vest seems to appear, but it's not the same type of model, and the ranger armor, or even the swat armor seems to not appear on the militia

this campaign is awesome! the custom units are interesting, and the fact that the resistance units are "expendable" really adds the feeling of "clandestine operation" that not even the vanilla game really gives, definetly looking forward to the new project, just out of curiosity, how did you gave those militia that armor? i tried to mod the militia and give them some armor, but it never shows in the models.

Second of your campaigns that I've completed, also ran this with CIA.

The number of expendable troops is nice, making it easier to scout out objectives, the "hidden" enemies within the civilian population was a cool mechanic as well.

Mission 7 is incredibly quick to complete by just deploying by the truck, the hardest part was actually moving the undercover iron wolves out in a timely manner.

Once again, near-peer blackops, I loved it, can't wait for the next one.

Lol ngl i hate playing swat bc skill issue but I might give it a shot.
I think if i make an FBI mod campaign it will work with swat tho. Im currently working on a Helljumpers one tho. Lots to do lol :stimulation:

Probably the best campaign that is more CIA orientated, I wonder if in the future a campaign dedicated to swat can be made... Either way VERY amazing campaign with (in my opinion) very unique missions that id like to ironman eventually. Please keep up the good work.
