Description
REVIVE A FALLEN KINGDOM
Tucked away in a remote land, the once-mighty city of Arion is now a field of ruins overrun by wilderness. There you will cross the path of an unlikely traveller and an offer will be made: to turn this desolate place back into a proper city. Accept this proposition to revive the name of Arion and lead your very own faction to prosperity.

The port of Arion can be renovated piece-by-piece over time, similarly to player-owned ports. While you can't select the position of the buildings, each areas will give access to unique features, and some of them can be furnished further by using Favor.

This mod can be inserted into an ongoing playthrough without issue, but be aware that unlocking all of it will take a significant amount of time, money and Favor. Moreover, triggering the first bit of renovation will automatically make you join the Arion faction which offers more or less the same fuctionalities as the three main factions, including founding player ports.


INCLUDES:
  • New Faction: Find the port of Arion at X97, Y58 near Bellrique to join a brand new faction as its leader.
  • New Upgradable Port: Use both the gold and favor acquired on your journey to help Arion grow into a genuine city filled with colorful characters.
  • New Crafting Material: Introduces Dragon Bones, a new tier of weapons above Ironice. Compatible with weapon types added by Prominence's mods.
  • New Items: The mod adds a bunch of new items. Expand, invest and explore to get your hands on them.
  • New Consumables: Get a taste of 20 new power-up items. To obtain them you will have to gather items from across the game, but their effects will make it worth it.
  • Thanks to a certain upgrade, you now have a place to bring all those plants you found in groves and give them a new role (doesn't clash with Prominence's Xochitl mod).
  • Two brand new classes: the Wyrm and the Brier!
  • More to come in the future


NEW CLASSES:

Wyrm: A feral heavyweight fighter with several ways to hurt foes using their sheer toughness.

  • Wyrm Hug: Deal damage based on your Shield and Fist skills, with a chance to break their armor and to disable the target.
  • Slam: Charge for 20 then jump into a tile at range 3, dealing great damage in the tiles around you.
  • Rapacious Rush: Charge a target for 90% Shield damage and push them 3 tiles.
  • Chew 'n Spew: Make a target oily and create puddles of acid around them.
  • Rampage: Deal one or more attacks to a target, inflicting more damage for each negative status on you.

  • Thick Carapace: Increase your defense, magic defense and Shield skill in exchange for decreased movement.
  • Essence Shield: Increase Shield skill by 1 at the start of the turn if you have a defensive status active.
  • Heavy Metal: Become immune to push damage. Moreover, when pushed into another unit or an obstacle, deal damage to adjacent targets equal to your Shield skill.
  • Eat Rocks: Earn 20% more EXP. Recover 10% of your max MP whenever you make a melee attack.


    Brier: A spear specialist who fights with brambles and take a defensive approach to battle.

  • Perforate: A powerful spear attack that inflicts extra damage to targets with Guard.
  • Sentinel: Charge for 20 then attack every tile at range 2, dealing more attacks with additional ranks.
  • Nettle Shield: Give a target the Thorny status, heal Itchy and give them Regen.
  • Overrun: Make brambles around you explode and deal damage adjacent tiles.
  • Hit & Run: Deal 90% weapon damage to a target then retreat in the opposite direction.

  • Vaulting Pole: Increase your jump and your movement if holding a spear at the start of the turn.
  • Nettle Heart: Start the battle with the Thorny status.
  • Thousand Spears: At the start of your turn, increase your Spear skill for all brambles within 2 tiles (max. 3).
  • Barrier of Thorns: Spawn brambles around you when hit by a physical attack. At the start of your turn, increase your Defense for all brambles within 2 tiles (max. 2).

    Disclaimer 1:

    Because a lot of things about factions is hard-coded into the game, I can't make Arion appear next to the other factions in the pause menu. This also means the player can't readily see how much Favor they have with Arion. In order to check how much Favor you have, go talk to the Aide in the castle use the base-game mirrors! I modified them so as to tell you your current favor with Arion, even when you're in a different faction.

    For similar reasons, I can't do anything about the Favor cap on each royal rank. Arion lets you pick your rank freely for the sake of roleplay, but keep in mind that each one has the same cap as the vanilla royal ranks.
    • Commodore: 30 Favor
    • Lord: 40 Favor
    • Lady: 50 Favor
    • King: 60 Favor
    • Queen: 70 Favor
    • Ser: 80 Favor
    • General: 90 Favor
    • Minister: 99 Favor
    • Saint: 99 Favor
    Note that no upgrade in the mod will require more than 30 Favor at once, so won't be locked out of options for sticking to your title. If you want to farm Favor though, consider switching to a higher rank.

    Disclaimer 2:

    Balance is an eternal struggle, and errors are ever prowling, so if you encounter anything wrong with the mod don't hesitate to notify me!

    It's also very possible that the mods has some bugs and unexpected interactions with other mods, so please notify me if something weirds happens to you.

    Load this mod above Prominence's mods in general to be able to use their weapon blueprints.

There will probably be ways to obtain more dragon bones in the future (but not the near future). As for the classes, I'm planning on releasing them separately in another mod for people who don't want to go through Arion every time. Once I've had enough feedback on them, I'll release it.

Alrighty then, cuz getting only 3 Dragonbones way to little to me even if it strong. ( Unless a new dungeon or something you can get extra of it.) Also do you considered for these 2 classes can get outside from joining Arion? Player like myself like to catch em all class.

Is this compatible with Mafe's Sea Stalkers mod (the one with green mega rays)?

Since you already add spawning merchant,battle and elite fleets in your mod if might have cause a conflict in this mod.

Do Arion Fleets use base game vanilla fleets?
If they do atleast use the green eco ships from Mafe's Mod since they do fit on Arion fleets.
If you ask for his/her permission.

Tbh, fame requirements aren't exactly the same as spending gold and favor. It doesn't substract anything from you, it only checks your progress in an indirect way. 300 isn't very high (consider that Prominence's Emporio di Portali demands 1000, and you can still get there halfway through a moderately modded run).

On the other hand, I have plans to make a separate mod with only the two new classes, so with less requirement. I'm just waiting for feedback on the classes so I have less file swapping to do.

Weapon and item shops never refill. The only thing that refills is the market good of that port.

I think the 30k money to unlock Lander and the 20 Favor is already a requirement, I wouldn't add another on top. that said this is based on the experience of me restarting and rushing to get there. which I assume isn't how everyone will interact with your content the first time. but unless you consider your classes 'broken' or 'end game' I just would'nt add anything more to it.

I bought all the Dragonbones and come back later to get more of these, it's out of stock for weeks. Is this intentional?

Fair, these are pretty steep requirements. Do you think it'd be enough to reduce the requirements to 300 (which is easily attainable when playing with mods), or would a different type of requirement be better?

Also a comment about the trainers, the requirement of fame for unlocking the class seems too much, if you are there, you spent 30k minimum on the town AND 40 favors, the surprise that you also need 700 of 2 different fames feels like a cheapshot really. tried to rush it to be told nah wait a bit longer. if you really want to keep the fame requirement I would at least make it clear before paying the 20 favor that you will still need 700 fame on top
