Pollinate

Pollinate is a small-scale Arena map, made to emphasize heavy but short fights that make arena a lot more fun. (kinda like Lumberyard!) The map takes significant visual inspiration from the likes of Deus Ex, setting the mercenaries in a somewhat retro-futuristic city where the core of the Pollinate Tower is on full display for all to see! ...the only problem, of course, being that the building owner didn't realize that a gaggle of 24 mercs wanted to take that for themselves.

Pollinate intends to take Arena mode to a much more speedy style than its typical maps are used to, even downsizing on the likes of maps like Ravine or Byre. The map uses a 3-story design to maintain gameplay depth while keeping the overall layout of the map incredibly simple and easy to learn so that combat is a breeze! Pollinate is perfect for any size of team, whether you want the intense game of cat and mouse the map provides to lower sizes like 1v1s or 2v2s, to the pure, chaotic mess of the classic 24-player experience of TF2. It's a bit of a oddity in the Arena lineup, but I hope that allows you to appreciate it that much more!
