Description
Welcome to Cerana
Cerana is a hybrid Control Point/Payload map set in the American midwest.

A local family-owned bee farm has had enough of losing business to a nearby artificial honey production factory. In response, they’ve hired BLU to sabotage the operation. Their recent acquisition of a mobile bee transfer device gives BLU an idea: infiltrate the factory and unleash a swarm of bees to disrupt production from the inside. Meanwhile, the factory sees the winding payload track leading towards it and decides to enlist RED to investigate and stop whatever scheme is underway.

BLU’s mission: load their payload with bees and escort it deep into RED’s territory, where they can release the swarm and wreak havoc in the heart of the factory.

I'd agree with @bananaxd . The showcase items 6 & 7 (the C point) are too bright or, maybe better, too "clean". I'd expect a bit more grime (dirt, puddles, tracks etc.)

Overall the map is, IMHO, a bit lacking in the red vs. blu distinction. It's reminiscent more of Powerhouse mid - a neutral point on the map - and appears to lack the gradual increase in red/blue colouring/tint when approaching the respective spawn location.

Kudos for putting the layout view in, though. Now that I had a look at other maps lots of those with a crapton of contributors aren't even able to do that!

@bananaxd Is there anywhere particular on the map you feel the uncanny valley strongly at? Or is it more of a just kind of, general haze to it?

something about the map gives me an uncanny valley vibe. idk if its the theming or the layout.

tf2 maps have diversified in their styles from the og wasteland maps. and it might just bother me. maybe these feelings are temporary because the way the map textures itself is new and different from how other maps are textured.

The map looks like its trying to fit in with the tf2 art style. but a map that looks like this never did exist in tf2. so its just weird. I'm still wishing to see more wasteland maps.

As long as there's no "hidden messages" on this map its fine I guess.

Serge Ivanov You are right. I encounter that map so seldom that I forget it exists! Now that I recall there's also a halloween map with a similar mechanic.
So yeah, it could be put int PL, though this one is basically 50/50 (at least area-wise) PL and CP, whereas others are basically PL throughout - except for the added CP mechanic at the end.
