Experience the power of the Tau Empire with this collection of functional vehicles, straight from the Warhammer 40K universe! Perfect for roleplay, machinima, or just cruising around with style.



=== INCLUDED VEHICLES ===

Pathfinder Tetra — Lightweight, fast anti-gravitic scout skimmer. Excels in reconnaissance and long-range infiltration.

TX78 Sky Ray — Missile Defence Gunship, a specialised variant of the more common Hammerhead gunship.

TX4 Piranha Skimmer — Lightweight craft, comparable in both size and battlefield role to a Space Marine Land Speeder.

Orca Dropship — Dedicated armoured transport shuttle. No weapons, up to 48 seats.

TY7 Devilfish — Armoured troop carrier. Transports 12 Tau units and provides mobile support.



ABOUT THIS PROJECT

I've had the props for these vehicles for a long time, but never had the skills to bring them to life. After a while, I finally decided to learn how to create something in Garry's Mod. This is my very first project.

I believe the props were originally ripped from Dawn of War by a friend of mine from a community I used to be in.



⚠ BUGS / NOTES / CREATIVE LIBERTIES ⚠

• Turrets do not turn — models are static, i lack the knowledge to modify models and i wish to learn to do so at al ater date.
• Weapons are not always accurate to lore
• Some limitations in aiming to avoid visual issues
• Balance is rough — tweak values yourself if needed

Heya! The stuck to ground happens because i messed up how high it spawns, thus the "invisible" wheels get stuck under the map, i'll probably touch upon it soon-ish. For the smart missles and floating i'll have to look into that since i've yet to mess around with it.

I love the Tau and it's great that we finally get to have their vehicles on Garry's Mod, though I have a few issues with this addon:

Both the Hover Speeders are way too big.
The Devilfish has a weird glitch where if you spawn it on the floor, it'll stick itself on the floor and it will be immovable (Trying to move it with the physgun will result in it being pulled back to the spot where it was spawned). The only way to fix this is to spawn it on a wall instead, which somehow fixes the issue (This, btw, is NOT the only time I've seen a LVS vehicle have this issue).
I'd love for the vehicles to have the ability to actually "jump" over the battlefield like they're supposed to.
I'd also love for the Skyray's Smart Missiles to actually home in on vehicles. I know that LVS natively allows for creating homing missiles, as most Star Wars aircraft have those.

I wish for you the best in completing this addon. You have no idea how long I've awaited for Tau vehicles!
