Sword Alchemy: getting materials

This was made with my achievement guide in mind, but I made this it's own guide for how heavy the section would've been on the main achievement guide.

Basic Materials
The following will be information on how to get basic materials.

The materials are varying, but you need to start with the basic elemental steel, bronze, silver, and gold (rarity is from least to most rare in that order). If you are looking for a Wind steel, kill a Wind demon, if you are looking for a Skill silver, kill a Skill demon. The rarity of the material will be determined by the level of the demon (You won't find the exact level of what you are looking for, you need to be close enough for them to drop the material).

NOTE: The element does not effect the required level of the demon.

Sometimes, you can get some of these materials from demons who you own. They will gift it to you, or give it to you as a final gift after they fused. I wouldn't use this method as a reliable way of getting basic materials.

Alternatively you can purchase these basic materials at Konnou-ya for a price. Every rarity, will be available to purchase at Chapter 12. But the others will be available to purchase earlier, the table above will tell you when you will be available to purchase.

I collected too much of them while grinding for levels and loyalty at the South Training Hall and Training Hall B10.
Obtaining Renki's
Mostly Case Files will ever give you Renki's. You can only get 8 more (excluding the one you start with) a game so it's best to do the base swords, then do the NG+ swords in NG+. Here are the Case files that give our Renki's:

Case files: 7, 15, 18, 24, 29, 41, and 44

The only other exception is a boss in chapter 3 of the game.
Element #115 and Light Steel
There are 6 locations for Element #115. One will be obtained by a mandatory main story battle with the twin demons on Chapter 5.

Another will be when you enter Sakuradayama on Chapter 8, go to your right and you will see a smaller shrine. Have a demon with inspect, inspect the area for any items. Element #115 will be in front of the shrine.

When you go to Dark Sakuradayama on Chapter 8, right across from the other Element #115 and the shrine offering location, you will find a little corner with three breakable items. You might have to clear an enemy to see it, but one of the three items are Element #115.

And while you're at Dark Sakuradayama, you should also get the Prodigy achievement by giving money to the shrine.

On Chapter 10, you will go back to the ship yard. When you spawn in head north (use the map for reference) and destroy the nethergate. Keep heading north until you see a platform you can jump off of. Jump from it, then the game will prompt you to go left or right. Choose left and destroy the breakable item for the Element #115. Don't forget to pick up the Pentagram and the Moon Chip in the floor below you!

THIS IS MISSABLE, DON'T FORGET TO PICK IT UP!!!!

In Training Hall B9, a Element #115 is in the east side breakable object.

When you make it Akarana Corridor in the year 1990, you can inspect the entire room for various items on the floor. One of which is Element #115 and Light steel on the right where you need to send a demon on a solo investigation to pick them up.

Plastic, Stife Blade, and Homusubi Crystal
There are four locations for Plastic. For one location you will unlock Case File #23 on chapter 5, which requires you to beat Yoshitsune in the 4th Floor of the Training hall. Plastic will be obtained alongside Strife Blade after the battle.
On Chapter 5, you will unlock Kasumidai. Go there and on the East side you will see three small areas where demon can sneak in. A Plastic is in one of the holes.

On Chapter 5, you will find a plastic at Shipyard B1 near the Ippon-Datra that helps you with the wall near a breakable object.

THIS IS MISSABLE, DON'T FORGET TO PICK IT UP!!!!

When you make it Akarana Corridor in the year 1950, you can inspect the entire room for various items on the floor. Two of which are the Homusubi Crystal and Plastic

Hunger Scale *MISSABLE*
On Chapter 8, when you get to Waden One, you want to go to the Upper floor. When you do, you want to destroy this breakable item where the yellow demon is on (I accidently broke it before I screen shot it lol):
Moon Chip and Pentagram *MISSABLE*
There are 7 locations for the Moon Chip. One of them will be in the amazing science lab at episode 6, and you will need a demon to inspect around this location:

You will get a Moon Chip in Chapter 8 after the fight with the Mishaguji in the story.

A Moon chip will be obtained in Chapter 9 after the re-match with the Muspell in the story.

On Chapter 10, you can find the Moon Chip In Shipyard B3 after destroying a Bullet Nethergate in a breakable object. You can then go down the stairs (NOT THE LADDER) to pick up the Pentagram. Don't forget to pick up the Element #115 in the floor above!.

THIS IS MISSABLE!!!!

In both Training Hall B7 and B8, one of the breakable objects will have a Moon chip per floor.

The last location will be in Training Hall B10, upon defeating Beelzebub.
Aletia
Aletia will be on the southeast corner in a breakable object in Training Hall B10.
Shadow Magatama
When you make it Akarana Corridor in the year 1960, you need a demon to inspect the area on the left as soon as you come in. A item will pop up, and upon pick up it will be a strange light visible through a crack with a prompt telling you to touch it.

Upon touching it, you will be teleported to a Dimensional Rift with five items, one of which will be the Shadow Magatama.
Mortal Seal
After clearing out most of the walls for the Akarana Corridor, you can go back to the year 2020 to this portal:
Sending a demon through there on a solo investigation, you will be following another pathway to another portal until you find a Mortal Seal in the year 2050

Victory Crown and Sessho-Seki
This one kinda sucks. You're going to need some requirements:
  • A Demon from the Frost Order
  • A Demon from the Volt Order
  • A Demon from the Fury Order
  • A Demon from the Pagan Order
  • A Demon who can Sneak
  • A Demon who can Fly (optional)
You can get these demons for cheap at the Demon compendium.
After clearing some of the Akarana Corridor, go to the year 2020, and go to this portal.

Afterwards you'll be at this puzzle with only one hint from one demon, then the *gamer word* will charge you 30k for it.

So yeah, ♥♥♥♥ that guy, I'll give you the solution. And the Demons have to go on a solo investigation through the left-right puzzle, NOT you with the demon.
Type of demon
Order of which the demon will go
The direction
Frost Demon
He will go first
Left
Volt Demon
He will go second
Left
Fury Demon
He will go third
Right
Pagan Demon
He will go last
Right
After that you'll go through the portal and be in this room:

The demon on the right will tell you that only demons can go through the portal in front, and it seems to change on what type of demon you have (Normal/fly/sneak). Send a "Normal" demon on a solo investigation for the Victory Crown, then send a "Sneak" demon for the Sessho-Seki, and finally, if you want, you can send a fly demon for a bead of life.

Mirror of Sun (NG+)
Beelzebub will drop a Mirror of Sun and a Moon Chip upon defeat. The Mirror of Sun will not appear at the Victory screen, but will be in your inventory upon completion. Though not a NG+ item, it can't be used until NG+.
Onogoro Ore (NG+)
Onogoro Ore is in the Training Hall B3, inside a breakable object on the east side of the room. Though not a NG+ item, it can't be used unless in NG+.
