Bloodlines: Legacies of AGOT

Description
Bloodlines: Legacies of AGOT is an unofficial expansion for CK3: A Game of Thrones, bringing deeper identity and flavor to the noble houses and cultures of Westeros and Essos.

Over 70 noble houses—from the legendary House Targaryen to the obscure House Scales—now possess unique legacy tracks, each granting powerful perks, custom modifiers, and access to house-specific Men-at-Arms retinues that reflect their battlefield traditions and reputations.

Every Westerosi and Essosi culture gains distinct cultural legacy tracks, offering new ways to express your people’s ethos and gain mechanical advantages in war, diplomacy, and beyond. In the glittering halls of Lys, where pleasure is power and secrets are coin, your dynasty may pursue a cultural legacy that reflects the city’s intoxicating allure. Across the narrow sea in Tyrosh, famed for its vibrant dyes and merchant captains, your dynasty may rise with wealth, guile, and mercantile power.

Features:

  • Over 70 new dynasty legacy tracks and 16 cultural legacy tracks to enhance your roleplay and gameplay.

  • Dozens of new Special Buildings , each unique to the dynasty and their location. Visit The Ring at Roxton, the ancient sparring yard that has trained generations of deadly swordsmen, explore Maidenpool and its busy ports of grain and salt, or enjoy the drink and rest at Old Stone Bridge inn. Each special building has been designed to give modifiers to each ruling host and expand the lore during your travels of Westeros.

  • Dozens of new Men-at-Arms units, each tailored to the legacy and lore of its house. Recruit the Gilded Thorns pikemen as House Osgrey, or the Howling Line heavy infantry as House Umber, as you wage war for the honor and glory of your house.

  • New house decisions, available to select dynasties: Host an Arbor Wine Festival as House Redwyne, Summon the Archmaesters as House Hightower, or even Proclaim the Kingdom of Duskendale as House Darklyn. Each decision grants prestige, modifiers, and roleplay opportunities that boost your house's legacy and renown.

  • New events and artifacts, tied to your house’s legacy choices and achievements such as House Reyne exploring the ruins of Castamere and potentially uncover a long-lost family relic, Reforge Red Rain if House Reyne recovers its ancestral sword from House Drumm, or even discover a Cask of Summerwine that was used for the coronation of Viserys the I.

  • New Strong Seeds, added to Valyrian houses such as House Celtigar and House Scales, enhancing the visual legacy of your bloodline to ensure Valyrian blood is still present in generations after.

New Update 1.4

  • Added 13 new dynasty legacy tracks and special MAA retinue units to House Banefort, House Connington, House Crane, House Manwoody, House Toland, House Templeton, House Shett, House Rogers, House Codd, House Wylde, House Piper, House Butterwell, and House Vypren.

  • Added 7 new special buildings including Kingsgrave, Ghost Hill, Ninestars, Gulltower, Amberly Watch, Rain House, and Pinkmaiden Castle.

  • Fixed a couple minor bugs

  • Revised all MAA unit pictures to be better looking, more realistic, and less grainy.

  • Changed dynasty legacies around to ensure certain dynasty hereditary traits are received early, as well as all special MAA units are included within the first three legacies of all dynasties.

  • Fixed a few bugs including revising the cost of House Hightower's MAA unit.

Rise through blood and honor—or infamy and steel—as you forge your house’s story in the world of A Song of Ice and Fire.

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    • This mod is NOT COMPATIBLE with AGOT: Minor House Flavour and AGOT: Minor Cultural Flavour. Please do not have both my mod or either of these two active in the same list. I recommend removing both of those mods for now as they are broken until they are potentially updated by Magnus.

    • I can not guarantee compatibility with every mod. I have strived to ensure it is compatible with select unofficial mods such as the AGOT Submod Core and its supported mods (except AGOT+ as I do not use that specific mod nor tested it).

@Heretic I don't play with that mod but my assumption is that Alessian has Highgarden right? So they are the LP of the Reach and the Tyrells are their vassal?

I'm not sure how they coded the Alessians but they may have made them, in code, the Tyrells and moved the Tyrells, in code, to a custom one. That would make it so my mod would give the Alessians the Tyrell's legacies.

@Bishop Heket of the Old Faith They're the last house that made it in the next update!
Definitely waiting for Vypren first. Frog House Best House.

The mod has a small incompatibility with the Alessian dynasty mod - it assigns the Tyrell legacy to Alessians instead of Tyrells

@DehCard Glad it works!

@Orson Tazau So I do have plans for some of the dead houses but not necessarily all. House Durrandon, Gardener, Tarbeck, and even Mudd can be revived through the natural game if you use the right minor house or find the appropriate characters. I plan on doing legacies for Durrandon and Gardener for sure as there are current houses that use them as their parent house. For the others you listed, I'm not sure. The only way you could revive them is by the house customizer. I may eventually do some but I don't know how much demand there is for them.

@Eber sorry for the week late reply (i just didnt check my notifcations) anyway it turns out another mod which i didnt update due to it not being on steam conflicted with this mod on opening the game. I removed it and it works great now.

Do you think it would be possible to create some bloodlines and dynasty legacies for dead Houses—or better yet, all the dead Houses with more lore and importance? I think it would be awesome for roleplay purposes and in general. The Houses I personally have in mind are: Mudd, Durrandon, Gardener, Casterly, Frost, Greenwood, Fisher, Justman, Teague and Greyiron.

@Savvy_Panda You're absolutely right about Nymeros Martell. Though it is usual to just see the name Martell, when we are doing lore, it is important to note the Andal Martell and the Rhoynish Nymeria. I did ensure I included their union in legacy 1. Yet, you made me realize I should have continued to use Nymeros Martell as that is the dynasty I was adding the legacies to. So I changed the legacy track to Nymeros Martell and any mention of Martell to that. I also changed up legacy 1 to include sailing modifiers. Thanks for the great feedback!

tl;dr- To make the Nymeros Martells legacy distinct from Dornish, give them maybe an increased naval speed or reduce embarkation fee (i.e. Ten Thousand Ships), make sure it's under Nymeros Martell and not just the Martell Dynasty.
Savvy_Panda 24 Jul @ 9:46am
Note- it's technically House Nymeros Martell, while it is under the "Martell Dynasty". I bring this up because the "Martells" are technically Andals and their legacy starts off with "Rhoynish Inheritance." But you are not incorrect.
Nymeria landed in Dorne with what remained of her 1000 (though some say 10,000) ships after escaping from Valyria's conquest. She married Mors Martell, bringing her troops and knowledge of warfare to unite Dorne. Mors fell in battle and Nymeria took control. She also established equal inheritance in Dorne, as she had four daughters with Mors and only son by her second husband. To keep the Martell line, her eldest daughter inherited.
Not sure when, either marrying Mors or when he fell, that the Martell name became Nymeros Martell, but a Martell would definitely honor Nymeria. The Sun in the Nymeros Martell sigil represents her and the spear originates from the Martells. I think they allow the rest of Westeros to call them "Martell" but aren't pleased by it.

@10K House Shett is on my list and will probably be added in the next update.

@Diomedian_Swap Thanks man! The Great Houses were a bit more difficult since they have so much lore that I wanted to include a good amount from the Wiki. So there were not as many opportunities to stretch my creative legs except for segments like that. It's fun to write especially for houses that may not have as much established lore so I can write more creatively based on character personalities we may know or such.
