Bloodlines: Legacies of AGOT

Beskrivelse
Bloodlines: Legacies of AGOT is an unofficial expansion for CK3: A Game of Thrones, bringing deeper identity and flavor to the noble houses and cultures of Westeros and Essos.

Over 70 noble houses—from the legendary House Targaryen to the obscure House Scales—now possess unique legacy tracks, each granting powerful perks, custom modifiers, and access to house-specific Men-at-Arms retinues that reflect their battlefield traditions and reputations.

Every Westerosi and Essosi culture gains distinct cultural legacy tracks, offering new ways to express your people’s ethos and gain mechanical advantages in war, diplomacy, and beyond. In the glittering halls of Lys, where pleasure is power and secrets are coin, your dynasty may pursue a cultural legacy that reflects the city’s intoxicating allure. Across the narrow sea in Tyrosh, famed for its vibrant dyes and merchant captains, your dynasty may rise with wealth, guile, and mercantile power.

Features:

  • Over 70 new dynasty legacy tracks and 16 cultural legacy tracks to enhance your roleplay and gameplay.

  • Dozens of new Special Buildings , each unique to the dynasty and their location. Visit The Ring at Roxton, the ancient sparring yard that has trained generations of deadly swordsmen, explore Maidenpool and its busy ports of grain and salt, or enjoy the drink and rest at Old Stone Bridge inn. Each special building has been designed to give modifiers to each ruling host and expand the lore during your travels of Westeros.

  • Dozens of new Men-at-Arms units, each tailored to the legacy and lore of its house. Recruit the Gilded Thorns pikemen as House Osgrey, or the Howling Line heavy infantry as House Umber, as you wage war for the honor and glory of your house.

  • New house decisions, available to select dynasties: Host an Arbor Wine Festival as House Redwyne, Summon the Archmaesters as House Hightower, or even Proclaim the Kingdom of Duskendale as House Darklyn. Each decision grants prestige, modifiers, and roleplay opportunities that boost your house's legacy and renown.

  • New events and artifacts, tied to your house’s legacy choices and achievements such as House Reyne exploring the ruins of Castamere and potentially uncover a long-lost family relic, Reforge Red Rain if House Reyne recovers its ancestral sword from House Drumm, or even discover a Cask of Summerwine that was used for the coronation of Viserys the I.

  • New Strong Seeds, added to Valyrian houses such as House Celtigar and House Scales, enhancing the visual legacy of your bloodline to ensure Valyrian blood is still present in generations after.

New Update 1.4

  • Added 13 new dynasty legacy tracks and special MAA retinue units to House Banefort, House Connington, House Crane, House Manwoody, House Toland, House Templeton, House Shett, House Rogers, House Codd, House Wylde, House Piper, House Butterwell, and House Vypren.

  • Added 7 new special buildings including Kingsgrave, Ghost Hill, Ninestars, Gulltower, Amberly Watch, Rain House, and Pinkmaiden Castle.

  • Fixed a couple minor bugs

Added 9 new dynasty legacy tracks and special MAA retinue units to the Great Houses, including House Tararyen, House Arryn, House Stark, House Lannister, House Baratheon, House Tyrell, House Martell, House Tully, and House Greyjoy.

New Update 1.2

Added three new culture legacy tracks with Andalosi, Rhoynish, and Clawman (Crackclaw) cultures.

New Update 1.1

  • Added 9 new legacies and MAA units to dynasties including House Westerling, House Hoare (House Salt), House Drumm, House Reed, House Roxton, House Wyl, House Fossoway, House Vance, and House Mallister.

  • Added 30 new special buildings in select locations for multiple dynasties including The Crag, The Tunnels of Wyl, Mormont's Russet Den, and Mooton's Maidenpool.

  • Revised all MAA unit pictures to be better looking, more realistic, and less grainy.

  • Changed dynasty legacies around to ensure certain dynasty hereditary traits are received early, as well as all special MAA units are included within the first three legacies of all dynasties.

  • Fixed a few bugs including revising the cost of House Hightower's MAA unit.

Rise through blood and honor—or infamy and steel—as you forge your house’s story in the world of A Song of Ice and Fire.

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    • This mod is NOT COMPATIBLE with AGOT: Minor House Flavour and AGOT: Minor Cultural Flavour. Please do not have both my mod or either of these two active in the same list. I recommend removing both of those mods for now as they are broken until they are potentially updated by Magnus.

    • I can not guarantee compatibility with every mod. I have strived to ensure it is compatible with select unofficial mods such as the AGOT Submod Core and its supported mods (except AGOT+ as I do not use that specific mod nor tested it).

That would be amazing and quick dont stress it, if you need any help just let me know (although I tried to add some terrain bonusus myself and accadentaly made the MAA free of costs...)

@Your Mom's Favorite Ah, no need to turn it off if you don't want. They're compatible. House Brax and House Massey will be in the next update. I'll note the other two.

@10k Great idea. I'll look into doing that.

@Abracadabel Yeah, I know. It's something I need to go back and really rework for all the units. I will do that for the next update. Thanks for the feedback!

@Cpl.geckell I hadn't planned on it but after reading up on them, I got excited to do Upcliffe. It will be in the next update.

@Pilatian Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I think I need to rework the renown bonuses for all the houses. I wanted to buff renown gain a little, but I overdid it. Thanks for the feedback!

The +10% renown from each dynasty member for House Targaryen seems a bit excessive, since it applies the % bonus to the total renown generation and has no individual cap. Currently receiving +116 renown each month after getting that and have already blazed through another legacy track in a couple of decades.

FINALLY A MANWOODY DYNASTY! Now all I need is Upcliffe

@Eber I love the mod, works great and it realy helps me to immerse in the smaller houses. One thing I noticed with some of the special man at arms is that their terrain bonuses make 0 sense.

For example the Knights of the Mist for the Mertyns house dont have an advantage in cloudforest while the whole region is that terrain type. I would say they would have an advantage there before they do in mountains.
Or the Goldengrove Lancers for house Rowan have a Steppe advantege and no meadows. Granted they have only one meadow country but the nearest steppe is above the Neck, wich I dont think they would have been there.
All this to say that maybe look at some man at arms and check to see if the terrain bonusus make sense for the region they are in.

Other than that the mod is amazing and I am curious how it looks when finished

a special building for harrentown (town right outside of harrenhal) would be amazing, as during the great council of 101 A.C. it was briefly considered the fourth largest city in westeros. i imagine it having multiple level ups to it. It would just add even more flavor when playing as a house ruling harrenhal.

With your mod on, I turn off Armies of Westeros so that the flavor is only with the special units from your mod.

House Bulwer in the Reach

House Massey in the Crownlands

House Fell in the Stormlands

House Brax in the Westerlands

Are my votes for the next ones.

One request I have for people who are playing with the mod is to give feedback. Let me know your thoughts especially when it comes to balance. I know my legacy effects are more than the standard ones. Do you believe this has created an imbalance? Should I cut some legacies down as they are too OP? Also let me know about MAA. Are they balanced and actually useful? I know many use Armies of Westeros so does my MAA units compare stat whise and are worthwhile?

These answers will help in me in editing and making the mod better over time.

@LemurKing Thanks. It's working as intended actually. Getting renown, especially in AGOT, can be difficult to do since conquering isn't usually as easy as as it is in the base game. So it takes hundreds of years to get enough renown to finish a couple legacy tracks. Also, and I'm not 100% this is right, but I know there is a cap of 2 renown per month for members of a family.
LemurKing 27. juli kl. 9:35
Just going to mention that the Baratheon "Storm and Crown" legacy is probably behaving in an unintended way. Each character in the dynasty benefits from the legacy, so rather than getting a simple +5% renown you are in fact getting an extra 5% per dynasty member. It's not really an issue since the Baratheons already start with high renown so it honestly helps get the increasingly-expensive legacies, but I just thought I'd bring it up.
