Description
A simple mod that adds a personal selection from the FTL OST (and related) to the list of music available to play in space.

* Uses freely-available low-quality (128kbps mp3) versions. Feel free to replace the .ogg with the high-quality files if you own them!

Disagree with my list? It's quite simple to add more:
  1. Go to the mod folder in
    (steam folder)/steamapps/workshop/content/294100/3527094090/
  2. Add your song (.ogg format) into Sounds/Songs/Orbital_Combat or Orbital_Relax
  3. Make a new SongDef in Defs/Misc/Songdefs/Songs_Sequences.xml following the format in the file
  4. Add your SongDef to the list in Patches/Music_Sequences_Patch.xml
  5. Back up a local version of the mod and enjoy
Or remove a song:
  • Remove the SongDef in the list in Patches/Music_Sequences_Patch.xml

@Evenstaar
I didn't include MilkyWay (Explore) since I felt it was a bit too fast-paced for the peacetime rimworld soundtrack, and (Battle) was more fitting for the raid music. Though I do agree with you that it's the embodiment of FTL, this mod was intended to blend as well as possible into the existing Odyssey tracks rather than just being a full FTL music pack.

"Federation" has the MilkyWay motif, if that counts (and I was debating on including that one too, but it has slow sections and a buildup which MilkyWay doesn't). Feel free to follow the instructions at the bottom of the mod page if you want to add it yourself though.

Is there no milkyway (explore) theme in this pack? That's kind of the track that embodied FTL for me, although that's just me so turkeys are real and do things. Sorry, what is a turkey, again?

Weird, been running fine on my end, but fair.

@LouldZarcs Just adds new music, the odyssey music isn't removed.

@Dragonissa I looked into it, but as far as I can tell Music Expanded is broken. It gave me error spam after a certain amount of time playing, and doesn't seem to support Odyssey (ignored the space-only restriction on music selection, no cue tags for "space-only"), so I don't see any point to trying to add compatibility. If that changes, let me know. Regardless, I've gone ahead and pushed a small tweak which should better support Music Manager and similar mods.

Will there be support for Music Expanded?

So this mod add new music to vanilla odyssey bgm list or replace it ?

*Your ship sensor picked up an unusual signal from the nearby planet. Someone is repeatedly broadcasting advertisements for artifacts and equipment made by "The CUBE".
-> 1. Beam your crew to planet surface and investigate
2. Leave

*It is a bait from the local Rimcolony! A group of insane colonizers killed your crew and back-traced your beam signal. Prepare to be boarded!

@Brujo no need to worry, that's just a comment; it doesn't actually affect anything. I wrote it like that as a joke because the actual rimworld file (RimWorld/Data/Odyssey/Defs/Misc/Music/Music_Sequences.xml) has that typo in a comment in the same place.
