Description
An advanced pack that interfaces with the user and their armor to provide extra protection against the harshest of conditions.

What does it add?

Adds a life support pack that currently adds 25% vacuum resistance. Might make more tweaks to it in the future but for now it's supposed to serve as an emergency option or bring up your power armor's resistance to 100%

Notes and stuff

This is a bit lazier than my other mods but eh, it's a niche item. Feeback's always appreciated though.

Report any bugs and all that. Feel free to drop a suggestion if you want.

Q: CE compatible?
A: I dunno, probably not

If you'd like to support me a lil bit u can leave a tip here, it helps me make more mods! :3

@condottiere it was made as a stopgap patch, i'll maybe rework it later with more content

@Kilo This is just my personal opinion re: recon/marine armor. Those apparels' lack of toxic/temperature resistance are their problem, not a problem that your life support pack needs to solve. If anything needs a stat patch, it's those items. As it so happens, the workshop has multiple mod options for giving these armors temp or toxic resistance. The mods are kind of piecemeal, all over the place though. No one-stop patch-everything mod.

I'm not saying this to be a jerk. I totally see that it's a PITA for these armors to prevent wearing parkas yet provide insufficient insulation themselves.

Your life support pack should only provide toxic/temperature stats if you think it should on its own merits, not as a stopgap patch for those armor apparels. :)

that's actually a decent idea, i'll include it in the next update in some way

I mean if you're afraid of it replacing cold weather gear, just make sure that the recipe requires gravlite panels or vacstone blocks or something else that requires engaging with the space-stuff. Vacsuits are already incredible for arctic colonies and they only require steel and components.

@Omega13 it ONLY gives vacuum resistance for now for balance reasons, but it seems that a lot of people are having temperature issues so I'll look into that

Checking my current playthrough, I can confirm that recon and marine armor, at least, do not negate Toxic resistance at all without mods. Also, does this mod affect temperature resistance? As I've had more problems with my guys in marine armor getting sudden hypothermia in space than with them getting vacuum exposure.

if i recall correctly, yeah

I think that DrunkenBard has the right idea, but I also think most power armors already negate toxic environments no?
Kilo  [author] 23 Jul @ 6:50am
@DrunkenBard no, it only works for the vacuum as of now

Does it help at all with environmental resistance to toxins or rot stink?
