Description
Mod Info:

This is a continuation of Zed's Loft Bed mod which has been updated to work in 1.6.

https://github.com/neko-emi/LoftBedContinued

Known Issues:
  • There can be some strange behaviors when using a Loft Bed as a medical bed with another bed underneath it
  • Medical Loft Beds not giving comfort

Original Description:

A loft bed is a double level bed similar to a bunk bed, but it only has one mattress. The top bunk is usually for sleeping while the bottom bunk is used as a study area by way of a desk.

Stuffable as a regular bed.

You can build bunk beds with this one just by placing it over an existing regular bed.

By default you can't place loft beds over a structures with cover > 50%, but this can be changed in mod settings.

@Nekoemi: Wondering if you have time to add support for "Soft Warm Beds"? https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3006469889&searchtext=soft+warm

Original description talks of asking for an "XML Patch", but it has been taken over by a new author so no idea if this is easy to do or not.

If you zoom in a little they should be visible. It has to do with the layer the loft bed is on - it seems to not draw the colonists from the same distance that the normal bed layer does. Just a necessary quirk of having the loft bed over another bed

i more thing worth mentioning, my colonist seem to sleep under the bed not on it, wondering why that is :) still great mod mate

@TitanMethos @FirstBornAcorn I've modified the loft bed to no longer block light.

I'm still looking at the GravShip issue after launching to a new map.

since the beds cause 0% darkness, does it cause unnatural darkness to damage pawns?

pretty bad for performance D:

I love this mod, but I have a minor beef with how Loft-Beds block all light onto their tiles. When playing with Anomaly, Unnatural Darkness means they can't sleep in beds/loft beds without being "attacked" by the darkness. Any chance that can be patched?

@Nekoemi: I no longer use the bunk beds as medical beds and only use top bunks with art or drawer under. However my colonists DO keep using the bunk bed for medical purposes while medical beds are available to use. This is caused several deaths and failed surgeries. Very Sad

Is there any performance hit from this?

Sure I can take a look at the Gravship ownership after launching
