City 17: Ivaylo Street (ver. 1.2)

This is my first (and likely last) map for Garry’s Mod. Inspired by Viktor Antonov’s concept arts, references, and real locations in Sofia, it took me two and a half months to create it with invaluable help from my friends and the Dark Interval Discord Community. The map was made using Hammer++ and requires no additional addons or games.

This map is far from perfect. You might encounter flaws, bugs, or inaccuracies. I’m not a professional mapper, or even an average one. But if you decide to give it a try, I’d genuinely appreciate it. I’ll do my best to fix any reported bugs as soon as possible.

Map features:
  • Representation of real buildings from Sofia;
  • Auto-generated nav-meshes;
  • Few easter-eggs.

If time (and patience) allows, I also plan to:
  • Improve some visuals;
  • Add AI nodes;
  • Optimize performance;
  • More easter-eggs.

Bro this is so good. I can see the reference to dark interval but this feels less beta and more half life 2 which is dope

In the courtyard, it's an open balcony on the top floor. As for the other apartments... I'm not sure, I won't promise anything, but I'll think about it.

Ver. 1.2 Update:
- added a bit of "depth" to one of the balconies
- removed ability to use the physgun on the doors to avoid crashes;
- fixed roof geometry on Building №16;
- fixed the parking fence geometry;
- fixed wierd shadow on the ivy model (thanks to Gmad and Vee for help with this one);
- minor fixes.
