Cursed Qud

Description
I uploaded a full list of current changes in the screenshot with this mod.

Caves of Qud is a bit to easy in my opinion, especially with mechanincs such as polygel and vendor duping. Enemies become a breeze and there's not enough danger. I aim to change that.

For example, fungi can now be mobile, baboons chuch grenades at you instead of rocks, and Saad Amus and his clones can now teleport right outside of those cryotubes that once kept them docile.

I might stream this later in the summer

Gonna use this for a run sometime later. The masochist within me desires the grenadier baboon experience lol

I've definitely considered making some changes be toggle-able. I appreciate the feedback

after a bit more playing: my reaction is 'this seems hard enough that gels and traders can be readded'

already need to be significantly stronger to beat up most mobs; being able to farm traders won't necessarily help you (you can roll all you want on a T1-T2 trader, you probably aren't getting anything to help you vs svardym off the bat) until late game- and at late game, you are (presumably) strong enough that you can just go underground and walk until you find a t8 merchant

can maybe, as a compromise, give merchants arbitrarily high MA/inability to be recruited or dom'd?

Putting each of these behind an option might be good for the longevity of the mod. I really like the idea of most of them, but some of them are a little extreme or silly for my personal taste (the lava/acid blood specifically).

Either way, looks like a great way to do challenge runs.

I tweaked it a bit myself to remove the polygel and trader stuff. So far I'm still enjoying it. The grenades in particular as I felt more enemies other than goatfolk needed to use them.

It definitely needs work, of course. I haven't really had time to play with it myself. Any feedback is much appreciated!

having played with it: not sure as to its long-term enjoyability, but it is objectively one of the funniest mods i have installed in a hot minute

Looks interesting.
