Triton Razor Mk II

The Triton Razor Mk II features a number of upgrades from the original, while still keeping the speed (20m/s in play, 26m/s out of play). (Jan 16th update - 40m/s in play, 42m/s out of play)
Can tackle most built in faction craft 1 on 1 and triumph.

Laser system tweaked for better performance, AMS coverage greatly increased.

Original missile systems replaced with a total of 24 VLS missiles. 12 long range w/explosive and frag warheads, 12 short-medium range with frag warheads.

Additional pair of cannons augmenting foward firepower, rapid fire (0.3) 6 gauge HE shells with a little AP capability.

Additional engines added to the side hulls, total power just over 24k.

Ammo barrels relocated to armored magazines behind side hull cannons, not as crippling when detonated as original placement. Decoys (with heat decoys) sticking out rear to draw some fire away from the ship.

Additional armoring around the cockpit/AI mainframe allowing for increased survivability.

Shields (max strength) added to cover most commonly struck locations. Cover isn't perfect, but greatly increases combat survivability.

Additional jets added to compensate extra ship mass.

Additional compact repair tentacles added in side hulls and nose for less awkward repairing.

It isn't. The missiles and *maybe* the laser system are the only bits that'd work without a rebuild, and the laser system only with a new engine.

Haha it's been a while since I looked at this thing. I'll have to check it out and see if it's still functional these days.

At this point, only keeping it up for archiving. Game has changed so much the design is, well. You can reuse the hull if you *really* wanted, but better off starting from scratch. Some of the blocks aren't even in the game anymore, I think.

One last update to this version before I move to Mk III. Fixed issue with lasers not wanting to fire at times, oddity with failsafe and a block that wasn't actually obstructing it, but was causing AI to not fire.

Update coming soon, possibly later tonight. Improved on the hydrofoil design, and doubled the ship speed. Yes, DOUBLED. If I give this thing more lift, I'll have an aircraft :D

Another game update largely fixed the previous issue, I made a relatively small tweak to the design for added lift anyways. Ship is back up to speed. Considering further tweaks to make use of new blocks and features, nothing worked in just yet.

Recent update has resulted in the need to redesign propulsion, right now it'll get up to perhaps 7m/s in play as it can't properly lift itself out of the water any longer. Will have the update up whenever it's ready.
