Tenebrae

Description
"Even after we are grown, the darkness retains its power to frighten us. And so there are those who say we should not inquire too closely into who else might be living in that darkness. Better not to know, they say."

You've ravaged your enemies with searing flame wielding the Infinity Sword; frozen and electrocuted people with Silmeri. History has spoken few words about these two powerful weapons, driving people who have discovered such history to seek them out. But, history had forgotten there weren't always two. Before Silmeri, before the Infinity Sword, there was only one:

::THIS MOD REQUIRES BOTH DAWNGUARD AND DRAGONBERN::

Tenebrae here is the third sword in the Infinity Sword line. Unlike Silmeri and the Infinity Sword, Tenebrae's power is based around light and darkness, which results in some unique stuff.

The sword's magical damage and power attack spells change depending on whether it's night or day. During the day, you'll get some light-based abilities, the sword'll do light-based damage (like ouching undead and stuff) and will also fire Bloodskal Blade-style light projectiles. If you're using the sword in sunny weather, the damage dealt by these effects is boosted.

At night, the sword will do dark-based effects. Those struck by the weapon at night will have their health and stamina drained, they'll be slowed, and will be sent into a frenzy as the darkness clouds their mind to who is friend or foe. Like with the light effects, the damage done by these effects is boosted if the weather isn't pleasant. With both the light and dark effects, people who're killed by the sword will be reduced to ashes (if it's daytime and sunny) or reduced to a pile of black goo (if it's night and the weather sucks)..

GETTIN' THE SWORD

To get the sword, you'll have to trundle into the Soul Cairn and fight the Reaper in his lair[www.uesp.net]. Once you kill his butt, the sword will appear in a burst of swirling darkness. Depending on your level in the relevant skill (61 or greater), either the two-handed or one-handed version will show up. It can be grip-switched at a smelter if you end up taking a different skill route after retrieving it.

Known Issues

The ability addition doesn't follow the day/night cycle, so this means you have to re-equip the sword if night falls or day rises in order to get the corresponding powers.

LET IT BE KNOWN THIS MOD SHALL NOT BE COPIED AND PASTED ELSEWHERE WITHOUT PERMISSION OF THE AUTHOR (ME). DOING SO WITHOUT PERMISSION MAY RESULT IN FREQUENT RASHES, HEAD COLDS, ANTIDAEPHOBIA, WEIGHT GAIN, DEMONIC HARD DRIVE POSSESSION, BAD GAS, AND A SUDDEN LOVE FOR JUSTIN BIEBER. IF YOU ALREADY ARE A FAN OF JUSTIN BIEBER, YOUR CDS WILL TURN PLAID AND ONLY PLAY CIRCUS MUSIC.

There's no means to do so on the Workshop, but if you so desire you can on the Nexus [www.nexusmods.com]

This is one of your best weapon mods out there I hope you'll continue making these for Skyrim and for Special Edition in the near future I wish I can donate to you as well.

I would say that DEvasto should do a dragonborn version, meaning make a really cool Skaal themed sword. Not Stahlrim, but your own unique designed.

It's very likely because your one or two-handed skill isn't 61 or higher, that's what's checked to determine what version of the sword spawns.
