Blameless Aethiopians 4

Description
This mod strives to be a historically accurate (or as accurate as the given graphics and engine allow) presentation of the 3 Aethiopian factions in the game. This mod was originally begun to make playing as the Aethiopian factions a better and more historical experience. Now, even playing as a non-Aethiopian faction is improved because you have more reason to conquer or cooperate with the Aethiopians. You won't find big changes in the stats, and the auxiliaries have lower morale than their regular counterparts. All units are painstakingly researched. That's why certain units were removed (Blemmye Raiders) or not added (I really wanted a Nubian War Elephant Archer but it just doesn't exist in the records).

Please leave feedback and most of all ENJOY :)

==Introduction==
Men fear what they don't know. And not much is known about the people south of the pyramids. In the absence of knowledge, rumor and myth propagate the world. There were tales of the Blemmyes as men with faces in their chests huddling in dark caves. Travelers whispered of Axum as the home of Prestor John and the all powerful and terrifying Ark of the Covenant brought there by the son of Queen Sheba. Lastly, the Meroites or Nubians became known to the world after conquering Egypt, bringing their dreaded horsemen as far as Israel before being forced back into their heartland to continue the worship of their undying gods. But while the legends of Aethiopia are at times frightening, the truth about the civilizations that thrived can be just as startling.

==Features==

****African Champions for Afro-Arabian factions (as seen in BA2)
*All Desert Nomad factions get the Aethiopian-looking, lion pelt-wearing champion

****Desert Nomad Temples (as seen in BA2)
*All Eastern factions have an extra building chain to construct temples that not only reflect historical desert nomad religious structures but spread the desert nomad culture instead of the eastern culture
**Desert Shrine (sign of Apedemak the Kushite Lion headed god; replaces level 1 temple)
**Royal Pillar --> Funerary Pillar --> Dynastic Pillar (icon is the Spirit Blocks of Dushara from Nabataea; replaces royal temple)
** Stone Mound --> Funerary Megalith --> Concentric Megaliths (icons are Megaliths from Mauretania; replaces necropolis)
**Stela --> Victory Stela --> Warrior Stela (icon is orxy headed god Athtar of Yemen; replaces fire temples)

****Desert Nomad Cursus Honorum (as seen in BA3)
*All Desert Nomad factions get the titles and bonuses of the nomadic factions as they gain promotions.
**noble --> tribal chief --> warband leader --> warchief --> elder --> royal noble --> tribal king

****Desert Nomad Capitals (as seen in BA3.2)
*All Eastern factions have an extra building chain to construct royal capitals that spread the desert nomad culture instead of the eastern culture.
**Desert Nomad City --> Desert Nomad Kerta --> Desert Nomad Karka

****Eastern Diplomacy (new feature to BA4)
*All Eastern factions can make client states and satrapies
**All Eastern factions can sack, loot, occupy, raze or liberate settlements
***Upped the "like" factor for VASSALS and CLIENT STATES so that they almost always do what you want
****Cancelling a vassal now gives big POSTIVE affect to relationship; canceling client state is still NEGATIVE

****Desert Nomad Confederaions (new feature exclusive to BA4)
*Desert Nomad factions can form a confederation named the "Desert Alliance". This is compatible with a new mod I've been working on called "Universal Diplomacy". I changed it from Kemet because the factions that can join span out well past the influence of New Kingdom Egypt.

****18 units unique to their own faction in Grand Campaign/ available to all 3 factions in Custom Battle (new feature to BA4)
**Blemmye Camel Archers (Campaign-Blemmyes Only, Custom Battle-All Aethiopians, camel archer unit from BA3)
**Blemmye Cavalry (Campaign-Blemmyes Only, Custom Battle-All Aethiopians, melee cavalry unit from BA3)
**Blemmye Warriors (Campaign-Blemmyes Only, Custom Battle-All Aethiopians, archer command unit from BA3)
**Blemmye Bandits (Campaign-Blemmyes Only, Custom Battle-All Aethiopians, brand new swordsmen command unit)
**Blemmye Long-Spears (Campaign-Blemmyes Only, Custom Battle-All Aethiopians, brand new pike unit)
**Blemmye Camel Long-Spears (Campaign-Blemmyes Only, Custom Battle-All Aethiopians, brand new camel shock command unit)
***Meroite Spearmen (Campaign-Meroe Only, Custom Battle-All Aethiopians, improved version of Nubian Spearmen from BA1)
***Meroite Bowmen (Campaign-Meroe Only, Custom Battle-All Aethiopians, improved version of Nubian Bowmen as seen in BA1)
***Nubian Chariot Archers (Grand Campaign-Meroe Only, Custom Battle-All Aethiopians, chariot archer command unit from BA1)
***Nubian Axemen (Grand Campaign-Meroe Only, Custom Battle-All Aethiopians, axemen command unit as seen in BA3)

****Axumite Negus Guard (Grand Campaign-Axum Only, Custom Battle-All Aethiopians, swordsmen command unit as seen in BA3)
****Axumite Ihzab (Grand-Campaign-Axum Only, Custom Battle-All Aethiopians, brand new javelin unit)
****Axumite Camel Lords (Grand Campaign-Axum Only, Custom Battle-All Aethiopians, brand new melee cavalry unit)
****Axumite Skirmish Cavalry (Grand Campaign-Axum Only, Custom Battle-All Aethiopians, brand new javelin armed cavalry unit)

****Aethiopian Auxiliary Units (new feature exclusive to BA4)
*6 auxiliary units (2 from each faction) CAN BE RECRUITED BY ANY FACTION IN THE GAME THAT BUILDS AUXILIARY BARRACKS IN AETHIOPIA. This system replaces my earlier mercenary system that didn't work too well with other mods.
**Auxiliary Blemmye Camel Archers (recruited by and fought against the Romans and Axumites)
**Auxiliary Blemmye Long-Spears (known in ancient Egyptian times as Medjay; served in Ptolemaic armies as well)
***Auxiliary Nubian Cavalry (Romans and Carthaginians both recruited Nubian Cavalry in the Judeo and Punic wars, respectively)
***Auxiliary Meroite Bowmen (what's the point of conquering Nubia without getting some archers in return?)
****Axumite Sarawit (Sarawit or Regulars were often found in armies on both sides of the Red Sea)
****Axumite Ihzab (Ihzab or Support troops were auxiliaries within the Axumite Empire)

****Auxiliary Units 4 Aethiops (new feature to BA4)
*All standard Auxilia units can now be recruited when you play as any of the Aethiopian factions. This gives access to the cool region-specific units that were once only accessible as Rome. BIG SHOUT OUT TO PEER's Auxilia for Everyone mod for showing me how to implement this. PEER made the mod, I just updated it and reposted it here https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=355233779 If you don't have the mod, get it because it makes the whole game better. It is fully compatible with this mod. Subscribe it. Favorite it. Then go here https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=205403952&searchtext=Auxilia and give PEER a thumbs up.

****Pike Units now have pikes at beginning of the battle (new feature to BA4)
I used this mod so that my Blemmye Longspears would actually look like they had spears. BIG SHOUT OUT to Boicote for making this mod. Please go here https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=204682595 and give him a thumbs up and a favorite.

Hey everyone! Big Thanks to all of you for your support of my mods from Blameless Aethiopians v1 all the way to this last installment v4. I'm discontinuing work on this mod in favor of the larger and more encompassing BLACK SANDS mod found here...https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=550990899

However, I still see this mod has LOTS of followers, so I won't delete it. It will become hidden to all who have not already downloaded it at the end of this year.

So, please mosey on down to BLACK SANDS and give it a rating if you haven't already. It has everything here and more!

No. Or at least I didn't intend to. What do you mean?

The auxiliaries should be more expensive and slightly higher upkeep.
