Simplicity

Description
NOTICE
This map is only compatible with the pre-SE2017 legacy branch. Change to it by right-clicking your Talos Principle game in the Library, going to "Properties" and then "Betas", finally selecting the "legacy" branch from the dropdown menu. Take care, as this has a chance to delete your main game save files. Back them up first.

"The art of simplicity is a puzzle of complexity."
- Douglas Horton

Simplicity is a puzzle pack for The Talos Principle. The map is set in a mysterious world, consisting nearly of only a red, simplistic art-style that is unlike anything you have seen before in the game. The map includes 7 puzzles, and also 4 stars for the dedicated players, which you can use to unlock a bonus "puzzle". ;)

It may be too late now, but I changed the color of the walls. I tried it myself, will this work for others?

To get the maze star, I took the three cubes to the outside of the sigil room with the gate closed, and stacked them up to make a staircase. Then from the top of the staircase I grabbed the lower cube and jumped on top of the blue barrier. I put the cube on top of the blue barrier and then I could get on top of the maze.
The Attached video demonsrates this method.

Finally got it. To extend Ganon's comment, the short wall you need to jump from is the one that had the connector, not the fan. Then you can sprint-jump to the left, and finally walk on top of the maze.

I have no idea how you expect people to get this maze star. It wasnt enough that you had to get a cube from another puzzle but the one solution that FEELS right (using all three cubes to jump onto the top of the maze , it feels like I'm doing something wrong somehow. I don't know why there's an invisible wall on top of the maze, especially since this is the only way to get on top anyways. Like am I doing something wrong here? Is this not the right answer? I tried the switch solution but I cant jump on it. There's like a tiny ledge on the top of the maze I think I'm jumping from, and at one point I think I saw the "shoe symbol" that's used to automatically jump, but I mash the jump button and I just fall back down again. Nothing feels intuitive about this. Most of the puzzles are really fun and interesting (save for the platforming parts) and even the three stars are pretty well hidden yet obtainable. But this one star doesn't feel obtainable at all

Finally got it. Wow, that was...an unusual way to get it. For those who were like me for the longest time, Work with one of the lower steps, and the two blocks from the Maze and the other from Two bridges and push against the invisible wall...you can make a jump from that infintesimal higher ground to where you need to go. Eventually you will find the sweet spot and the star is yours!

I was surprised when I saw Tengu's solution. It was a clever alternative one, but I 100% assure you that there is still another way to get the maze star.

I'm in the same boat as ReusedNPCv2. In Tengu Drop's playthrough, he was able to jump on one of the switches and get to the top of the level that way. However, since that video came out, new patches make using conector hubs, switches, torches, etc. to jump on impossible. But if there truly is a way to obtain that star without said jumps, then I will continue to ponder how to get there.

The maze star was never broken though.

Just got done everything except the maze star and again, very innovative and clever puzzle strategies. Any chance of a maze star fix for the completionist in all of us?

I completely agree with you, in fact if I could redo the map with better visuals and less annoying platforming, I would happily do so. But the map is nearly two years old now and it's the least popular of all the maps I've made, so it wouldn't be worth the time and effort.

You can try fiddling around with the color settings and see if it gives you less headaches this way.
