It may be too late now, but I changed the color of the walls. I tried it myself, will this work for others?

To get the maze star, I took the three cubes to the outside of the sigil room with the gate closed, and stacked them up to make a staircase. Then from the top of the staircase I grabbed the lower cube and jumped on top of the blue barrier. I put the cube on top of the blue barrier and then I could get on top of the maze.
The Attached video demonsrates this method.

Finally got it. To extend Ganon's comment, the short wall you need to jump from is the one that had the connector, not the fan. Then you can sprint-jump to the left, and finally walk on top of the maze.
Nada 3 May, 2018 @ 11:35pm
I have no idea how you expect people to get this maze star. It wasnt enough that you had to get a cube from another puzzle but the one solution that FEELS right (using all three cubes to jump onto the top of the maze , it feels like I'm doing something wrong somehow. I don't know why there's an invisible wall on top of the maze, especially since this is the only way to get on top anyways. Like am I doing something wrong here? Is this not the right answer? I tried the switch solution but I cant jump on it. There's like a tiny ledge on the top of the maze I think I'm jumping from, and at one point I think I saw the "shoe symbol" that's used to automatically jump, but I mash the jump button and I just fall back down again. Nothing feels intuitive about this. Most of the puzzles are really fun and interesting (save for the platforming parts) and even the three stars are pretty well hidden yet obtainable. But this one star doesn't feel obtainable at all

Finally got it. Wow, that was...an unusual way to get it. For those who were like me for the longest time, Work with one of the lower steps, and the two blocks from the Maze and the other from Two bridges and push against the invisible wall...you can make a jump from that infintesimal higher ground to where you need to go. Eventually you will find the sweet spot and the star is yours!
Mauritsio  [author] 21 Jun, 2017 @ 1:29am
I was surprised when I saw Tengu's solution. It was a clever alternative one, but I 100% assure you that there is still another way to get the maze star.
RatSin 20 Jun, 2017 @ 7:50pm
I'm in the same boat as ReusedNPCv2. In Tengu Drop's playthrough, he was able to jump on one of the switches and get to the top of the level that way. However, since that video came out, new patches make using conector hubs, switches, torches, etc. to jump on impossible. But if there truly is a way to obtain that star without said jumps, then I will continue to ponder how to get there.
Mauritsio  [author] 20 Jun, 2017 @ 1:39am
The maze star was never broken though.
RatSin 19 Jun, 2017 @ 7:04pm
Just got done everything except the maze star and again, very innovative and clever puzzle strategies. Any chance of a maze star fix for the completionist in all of us?
Mauritsio  [author] 1 Nov, 2016 @ 3:46am
I completely agree with you, in fact if I could redo the map with better visuals and less annoying platforming, I would happily do so. But the map is nearly two years old now and it's the least popular of all the maps I've made, so it wouldn't be worth the time and effort.

You can try fiddling around with the color settings and see if it gives you less headaches this way.

Dude, seriously, I just looked in my girlfriends face and asked her: "Do you got a sunburn? Your face is completely red... so is youir hair... and shirt... and everything." That was after I played Simplicity for two hours straight.
Actually the puzzles were fun and challenging but this red all over really messes with my head.
Nayjer 26 Oct, 2016 @ 6:54pm
it can be harder, but it is not very ease. good map.
ReusedNPCv2 24 Sep, 2016 @ 9:05am
I've done most all of this mod and I'm satisfied with most of it. The one issue though, is the maze star. I'm fairly convinced that it's impossible to get at this time, since both low spots do have invisible walls and the aforementioned "where you get the sigil from" can't be accessed without one of the cubes being used to hold up the connector on the fan. Plus, none of the switches, laser sources, or laser receptacles are capable of being stood on in my version of the game at least. And of course, where you get the third cube from is almost impossible to see without looking it up... But yeah, everything else is aight. (Although I haven't seen whatever's on the other side of the star gate, obviously.)

A new map? yes yes yes !!!
Mauritsio  [author] 2 Jul, 2016 @ 7:57am
@theo-schwab Yes, heard this from a lot of people. I've taken it into consideration for this is the only puzzle and will do so again with my next map (if I will even make a next map).
lapicidas 2 Jul, 2016 @ 7:25am
@Nada
You are right!! @ Mauritsio : Thanks for your great Work. I really respect your Ideas. But Platform-Puzzles is not the Principle of Talos! I solved all your Maps: Simplicity, Orbital and This is the Only One. Really great Puzzles in all Maps. But why are you so fixed in this damned Platform-Jumping? Mario-Bros is 30 years ago
Simple Nixon 3 Feb, 2016 @ 7:24am
finally. I like that the red was so distracting at first. Forced me to learn to ignore it. Lots of time lost in there. I loved it.
schnedwob 16 Jan, 2016 @ 7:59pm
It feels like somebody shot sriracha in my eyes. If you're going to make us backtrack so much, at least make the visuals appealing. It wouldn't bother me if not for the sheer amount of walking.

Not to mention the platforming is a pain in the ass too. Why does that puzzle with the two bridges need a perilous gap next to one of the puzzle's most crucial pieces? Deathpits are fine for set dressing, but to include them everywhere is just headache-inducing.

Very interesting and hard mod!
sublimal 30 Dec, 2015 @ 12:04am
I want to like this, but the game breaking bugs just got to me. Reflectors that fall off moving platforms. Boxes lost to other sides of walls due to a jump placing me on the other side. Jumping puzzles and soo much red fueling more rage.
zroc 22 Dec, 2015 @ 6:07am
I agree StromyFace. Although I don't "suk" at platforming, the terrible walls and colors made the platforming even worse. And way toooooo much space and back and forth with connectors. I stopped playing the map. couldn't take the color contrast any more was making me sick! Nice work on the puzzles though I'm sure you put a lot of thought into them. Spruce up the textures a bit to make it more enjoyable to look at and it might not be bad or more intersting.
StormyFae 27 Oct, 2015 @ 11:06pm
I would have enjoyed this map if not for the horrendous platforming. I do not enjoy nor play platforming games (because I really suck at them!) I enjoyed figuring out what to do but it got too tedious to call one of my kids over to do the platforming for me so I gave up. Talos has such great potential for logic and puzzles why ruin it with something that it's no good at? And the red is really hard on my old eyes. I enjoyed the maze puzzles tho.
piripiago 14 Sep, 2015 @ 4:46pm
You seem to really like long precarious jumps over bottomless pits. There are a few really good puzzles here, but they are overshadowed by the repeated reseting from imperfect jumps. You are trying to force the game to do things that the controls are not good for. Having to do awkward jumps to get a star is fine, but shouldn't be a main "puzzle".

Also the solid saturated red everywhere is definitely very straining and gets hard to look at after a while.
Mauritsio  [author] 5 Sep, 2015 @ 2:16pm
There's one more spot. Think about where you got the sigil from.
MrMentor 5 Sep, 2015 @ 1:43pm
I think i tried everything. You previously mentioned about "lower enough spot". Correct me if i'm wrong, but there are two such spots and both have invisible walls. I also tried jumping from the fan with box with no luck.
Mauritsio  [author] 5 Sep, 2015 @ 11:59am
The funny thing is, I never intended the switch to be used to get the star. There's still definently one other spot where you can get on top of the maze though.
MrMentor 5 Sep, 2015 @ 10:26am
I think that last star is broken now, as i can't jump on the switch in the maze level.
Nada 28 Jul, 2015 @ 5:40pm
If a game isn't made for platforming, don't make it a platformer.

I get an error saying "konnte Level nicht laden", when I try to launch the map.
ZeeZee 27 Apr, 2015 @ 8:32am
Really good campaign bro, I really enjoyed it :) Didnt manage to finish that secret level, quite hard for me. Also on that level Yellow/Orange are very similar, try to change that orange color into something else. Anyway keep up the good work, hope we will see more puzzles from you :)
Eagleshadow  [developer] 25 Apr, 2015 @ 3:56am
I'd gladly play these puzzles if everything weren't so agressively red and nothing else. If you don't want to use textures, then at least don't use such agrivating colors that hurt people's eyes, use milky low saturated colors instead, and vary them. Make one puzzle one color, and then other puzzle a different color. I just can't bring myself to play this as it currently is, but I'll check back in a few weeks or months to see if anything changed for the better.
checkers_of_shalmone 22 Feb, 2015 @ 8:32am
Comparing the quote to the map, it's worth noting that you got two words reversed. *snicker*

I have to admit I walked away swearing a few times...all good and well worth it.

Wow, now I feel dumb. Still managed to complete the puzzle.
LostHopeFate 7 Jan, 2015 @ 5:45am
Yeah, Parade in the Pit mines were annoying to begin with, though I found jamming them in to a pattern and having all four back to back made the margin of death a lot smaller. Also, the blowing them up with clones thing works too, hahaha .
NSKuber  [developer] 7 Jan, 2015 @ 5:22am
fungusdude4 , actually you have jammer right at the start, you just go to the fan, fly upwards and take it.
inappropriately_gendered_fungus 6 Jan, 2015 @ 1:23am
That was tough, but these were some really cool puzzles! That maze star was insane. I had to look at the video to get it. The bonus room was fun, but it became infuriating after 45 minutes or so. I still managed to get the sigil. Hope to see more from you in the future.
inappropriately_gendered_fungus 5 Jan, 2015 @ 9:54pm
In My(ne) Express, I found a spot on the wall next to the gate which blocks the blue laser transmitter that's discolored. Does that have any significance?
inappropriately_gendered_fungus 5 Jan, 2015 @ 9:42pm
I've since completed the level. Yeah, the jammer helps a lot, but you don't have it right at the start of the puzzle. I think it would help if the gaps between mines were bigger. I've also discovered that you can destroy mines using your recording. Not sure if it's a glitch, but it's kind of hilarious.
NSKuber  [developer] 5 Jan, 2015 @ 8:35pm
That bothered me also, fungusdude4. Sometimes when I turn off the recording I get mine right under my nose, and sometimes it's fine and they're far enough to climb upstairs. The pit is weird but the level can be completed. I assume you've used the jammer on one of them ?
And sometimes one of the mines or several mines just explode after some time with no reason.
