Realistic Unit Resource Consumption

Description
Adds realistic unit resource requirements for coal, iron, oil, aluminum and uranium to many units that did not require such resources before.

Current unit resource consumption requirements in CIV V are highly unrealistic. This mod helps to correct that while making things much more realistic.

Changes made to CIV V unit resource requirement consumption:

Knight units will now require 1 iron as well as 1 horse.
Ironclads will require 1 iron and 1 coal.
Cannons will now require 1 iron.
Rocket artillery will require 1 oil in addition to the normal 1 aluminum requirement.
Mobile SAMs will now require 1 aluminum and 1 oil.
Fighter, Bombers, B17s and Zeros will require 1 iron in addition to the normal 1 oil requirement.
Anti-aircraft artillery, towed artillery and anti-tank guns will now require 1 iron.
Attack helicopters will require 1 oil in addition to their normal 1 aluminum requirement.
Missile Cruisers, Destroyers, Submarines, Carriers will all require 1 iron and 1 oil.
Nuclear Submarines will now require 1 iron and 1 uranium.
Mechanized Infantry will now require 1 iron and 1 oil.
Tanks, Panzers, and WWI Landships will require 1 iron in addition to the usual 1 oil requirements.
Modern Armor units will require 1 oil in addition to their normal 1 aluminum requirements.
Jet Fighters and Stealth Bombers will now require 1 oil in addition to the normal 1 aluminum requirement.
Battleships will now require 2 iron and 1 oil.
Mechs will now require 1 iron in addition to the normal 1 uranium requirement.
X-COM units will require 1 aluminum.

Best used with General Tso's Really Advanced Setup mod so you can increase map resources.

Requires the Brave New World expansion.

I want to give special thanks to lshipp and his Unit Iron and Oil Requirements mod for showing me how to do this!

BTW you can use his mod or mine, but NOT both.

This mod is great. It adds realism and challenge to the game. It also solves the problem of the AI spamming useless units, for example having a dozen aircraft carriers with no aircraft. Would recommend.

You should definitely make this mod for Civ 6.

It would be cool plus if some resources, like tanks and planes would require factory to produce.

@JBMSL Its not like you have to modify a specific game file. You can use ModBudy to create your own mod or you can open the XML file of this mod and make the changes you want.

Hi. I'm interested in such kind of mods, but I would like to do some changes by myself. Which game file did you modify in order to make this mod ?

modern armor should require iron not aluminum. Aluminum is for flying machines not armoured ones... shoot on aluminum and you'll understand why. On the contrary, modern armour are covered with thin layers of heavy metals, not the super light aluminum!

can i just use the normal setup of the map and put more resources or do i need the advanced setup mod?

WWII planes should take aluminum, not iron. And WWI planes shouldn't take iron since they were essentially kites with engines.
