Native Rebalance

Description
The Sunset Invasion is a glorious thing, isn't it? Yeah, too bad it never happens with the way Paradox butchered Natives. But what's that, you say? There's a new mod in town that fixes all that?

Native Rebalance is a mod that changes a bunch of things related to Natives and tribes all around the world, but with a prime focus on the North American Natives.

Native Council Rework

Imagine owning half of America and still not being able to "westernize" just because of some silly old council mechanic Paradox felt appropriate. No more! Natives now feature a government type more similar to other tribes across the world.

More Native Provinces

Just because native people didn't have flags doesn't mean that they didn't covet larger areas, right? All of North America is filled to the brim now, ensuring a much more interesting experience that now rivals the likes of Europe! BIG North American Natives mod by Lunar Magister is included in this.

Rebalanced Technology Groups

You want Japan to colonize North America? Feel like India should invade Africa? You want to steamroll Europe as Poland? Well technically you could do that last one before, but guess what? It's 20% easier now! All Technology groups have the same 100% base modifier. Additionally, everybody's administrative, diplomatic and military starting level is now 3.

Adjusted Institutions

It's pretty rigged that the Renaissance always happens in Italy, right? Don't you think Natives could've been just as inspired if they were given the chance? Well, that chance is now! This mod includes a big revamp on all institutions, as long as you meet base tax and advisor requirements for certain things, the printing press could be invented in Florida!

Feudalism for Everyone

We're in 1440, for god's sake! Feudalism is a thing of the past, everyone knows what it is. Even Natives do now! No more annoying tech penalties.

Please, do tell me of any bugs or issues that you may run into, and please leave any kind of ideas that you may have in the comments! I'd be willing to adjust every tech group, and I'm planning to add additional provinces or natives to other parts of the world.

This mod should be compatible with every mod that does not change technologies, institutions or governments.

If for some reason you're not golden, let me know in the comments.

it looks like eu4 players either want nerfed natives or even more powerful natives

Awesome, add me and then feel free to reach out when you have time. I've already started working on a submod to go with Extended Timeline

Sure, once I have some time I'd love that.

I have made several personal modifications (rather than complete publish ready mods) to make the North American tribes more realistic, if you'd be into making a version of this closer to the American Revolution to Victorian period I have the historical realism aspect covered and I'm decent with modding the game

i think the tribes should have just kept their original size

If I ever have the time to actively work on mods again it's definitely on my to-do list.

Is it possible for you to add South America too. North America is full, south america looks empty now. Love the mod!

Ah, yeah, I haven't looked into any of the Mesoamerican civs, their dynamic works a bit different than North American tribes.

Weird, yeah, you should be able to build boats, what nation in particular were you playing? Maybe I messed something up. I haven't had much chance to test the mod myself.
