Description
A replica of a typical roman barracks at a Hadrians wall fort. Based on drawing amongst pictures.

SI Compatible
SI Update 03/03/15 seems to have changed quite a lot as a few weak points have appeared. Redesing required but waiting until hotfixes out. In meantime advise running with SI off. Will update status when fixed.


Blueprint is part of a fort layout under construction at the moment. Entrance to Barracks is on Right corridor (Left side variant also available in my Roman collection).

Building consists of 10 x 8 man squad living areas backed by bunk rooms giving a total of 80 bunks (fighting strength of a Roman Century) plus the Centurions larger quarters at the end of the block.

Blueprint will be updated when further furnishing items (weapon racks and small fireplaces (if they can be made to fit) in particular) and stone topper blocks or shallower angled roofs are available.

Further building blueprints to follow when complete.

Thanks very much. Yeah I had a look at those styles as can use the central separating block as a recreational/admin area for the 2 centuries (when I can get small enough hindged gates working can even enclose it as it's own sort of mini fortification). I was trying to stick close to the reference photo for the fort this is a part of as it was all long buildings however It's something I had considered doing and I just might add something like that as an "elite" barracks block on the next section (would help it tie in with the style of the officers quarters I had been planning as well) once I finish adding the granaries (will be published shortly) :)

pretty cool brah. in other building games i like to build theses in a square fashion with a court yard in the middle. makes for a pretty cool building based around the room layout.
