Homeworld2 (classic) Territories Mod

Description
THIS MOD DOES NOT WORK BY SUBSCRIBING!!!

Launching the Mod via the Launcher does NOT work either! You have to go the the main mod page on
http://www.moddb.com/mods/territories-mod and download the mod there.

Follow the instructions of the readme file attached to the download.
(create shortcut to the homeworld2.exe and add mod tags "-mod territories.big")

This mod turns Homeworld2 (classic) into a board-game like RTS. The map gets divided into several sectors, which can only be travelled by the use of hyperspace gates that connect them.

The Territories Mod is NOT created by me. All credits go to Olmys, the original creator of this mod (as well as sevral others).

I added this Mod to the Steam Workshop hoping that anyone would go forward and create a Remastered compatible version of this Mod. Also, in order not to let this masterpiece of modding getting buried by the sands of time.

I put the mod file in data folder
(C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Homeworld\Homeworld2Classic\Data)

I create a shortcut of Homeworld2.exe in desktop
(C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Homeworld\Homeworld2Classic\Bin\Release)

I modify the destiny
("C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Homeworld\Homeworld2Classic\Bin\Release\Homeworld2.exe" -mod territories.big)

But I still can't play, the game start and close.

So I try open the territories mod file with Homeworld2.exe and happen the same result
(right click, open with, select Homeworld2.exe)

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but if someone want help me, I will thanks. And Aki, you talk about people don't want dedicate to learn, do you can recommend some material to we study?

To be fair, it isn't revelling in superiority. Its making quite a fine point. Its all rather simple stuff if you have the patience to try. It definitely appears that people nowadays (no offence to 'people') just seem to want a 'one-click' solution.

This is why many of us get frustrated with Microsoft taking our digital freedom with every new version of Windows.

If you wish to navigate to your game folder, you can in fact use steam to go there. Find HW in your library, right click, select; 'properties', go into the tab; 'local files', then click; 'browse local files'. Voila, theres the folder you need to navigate about in.

wow, you guys really seem to enjoy reviling in your sense of superiority. Not everyone is blessed with such expierence in the PC field or just not as adept at picking it up. If you wnat to gloat and snicker to each other thats fine but some help would also be appreciated, for us peasents

the old fashion way of installing mods kinda miss these times. Everything is so simple now and guess a few extra clicks is too much for people now a days.

Confused? Its really simple if you are not lazy. It's basic computer knowledge, and if you don't know it, well... you're gonna have a bad time. It works though.

i sort of agree with profanity its just for those who dont have the experiance with this stuff they get confused. and with this type of launcher for hw it is hard to find a source file for the mods.
