Description
This mod aims to increase the difficulty of the game.

It has the following effects:

Construction costs increased to 200%
Maintainence costs increased to 250%
Relocation costs increased to original construction cost
Refunds now give 50% of construction cost

All demands reduced by -20

Residential Level Up Thresholds:
Level 1 <20
Level 2 >20 <40
Level 3 >40 <65
Level 4 >65 <95
Level 5 > 95

Commerical Level Up Thresholds:
Level 1 <30
Level 2 >30 <75
Level 5 >75

Industrial Level Up Thresholds:
Vanilla

Office Level Up Thresholds:
Level 1 <90
Level 2 >90 <150
Level 5 >150

i would suggest using real time and real lifecycle together on regular difficulty to get the desired results you are looking for but this is a great mod to make the base game crazy hard. Would be a great challenge of your economic ability.

Proper Hardness is a full simulation overhaul, whereas this mod is just harsher thresholds and costs. This mod also works, unlike Proper Hardness.....

A change I'd make is to roads; roads irl are hideously expensive to build and maintain, and tunnels/elevated roads even more so. Push the penalty for not having road maintenance service up, make road maintenance service buildings much more expensive to maintain, and bump tunnel/overpass up from 250% to 400-500%. Also make green power stupid expensive to build (solar/wind/hydro) and maintain (just solar/wind). Because it is.

i like this mod, its a fight against land value... but somehow the costs are scrambled up, or not correctly ? i need to pay only 7.5k for a windmill, and a coal plant only costs 23.75k that should be somethign like 12k for the mill and 32 k for the coal plant right ?

is there somethign im missing ?
