I was there the other year, and we were going to go up to the top of Angels Landing.
Couldn't do it due to bad weather!
So this is still on my Bucket List.

Found this by searching for challenging maps in google. Not disappointed.

Water is extremely scarce, because the river flow would decrease and increase randomly, which results in water supply going up and down too. Starting tile's river merge just north provides plenty until you reach around 3k pop or so, then it will really start straining since sometimes you drain the water faster than the river flow.

Space to work on is also really tight too. Gets really hard after 5k population, which is my target of difficulty.

i love this map.. very hard to expand, and the city looks kinda trippy being confined to the canyon.. fun to play

Hey guys, I'll take a look at creating a euro version when I have time. Life has gotten busy on me. :)

I am absolutely loving this map! Love the challenge of planning around all the elevation changes, building districts on mesas and stringing highways along canyons and crevasses. I for one am glad binhex couldn't replace this hard version of the map!

As for dams, you can always make sewage dams. Some of my sewage dams are generating a couple hundred megawatts, thanks to my population's enthusiastic sewage-making.

Last days i play on this map, very cool but hard. At the Moment i have 35k People. Problem is the
Sewage, that flooding areas :)

So I have an update for this map, it adds more water flow to the river, easier access out of the canyon, more buildable area's in canyon, and more trees.

However, I can't seem to update the existing map. I must have been editing the wrong save or something, as in the content manager, there are two copies of the map, and I can't update the one that has the update button. I'm going to try for a bit longer, and if I can't get it it to update, I'll upload it as a new map.
