Exploration Ship Blacklist

Description
By default this mod creates a blacklist of all known Exploration ships, and disables them so the game will not spawn them. It generates a config file so the blacklist can be altered, to allow certain encounter ships to appear.

The config file is in "SpaceEngineers\Storage\Exploration Ship Blacklist_ExplorationUtils" folder and is the Config.cfg file. Open it in notepad or any other text editor, there is a list of ship names, seperated by semi colons. Anything you remove from that list will be allowed to spawn again.

hello can you make a mode that gets rid of that button that says convert to ship. It keeps laging up the servers when players convert the stations on the planets to ships. This would be a great hepl to alll server operators. Thank-you. Harber33

I'm not sure why, but the game isn't checking the list again after the mod runs.
This mod asks for a ship to be removed, it's Keen's code that actually does it.

I'm going to try running the script earlier, see if that fixes it. Not had net for 3 days so little I could do to even post this message.

Keen did add an option to disable all Exploration spawns, likely that change is what broke things.

I don't think this is working anymore. I just had found a crap ton of exploration ships on my DS running this. Even ones that are specifically in the file to not be spawned. And of course it spawned itself 10 times all on top of each other. Hopefully Keen will fix that.

Does this not work in SP or listen servers? I would use it on my DS but I'm trying to test it with my cargo ship mod first to make sure everything spawn correctly. So far the game spawns the exploration ships, despite the config being appropriately set.

@LookAtMyHorse Every single ship on that list will appear in the game at some point, you may have to travel hundreds of kilometers to find some, but they are all out there somewhere.

Your just not grasping this, I DO NOT have any control over how Space Engineers spawns ships. All this mod controls is what ships the game chooses. If the mod blacklist a ship which say was spawning at a certain coordinates, the game WILL choose another to take it's place.

So answer to your question, no, a million times no. Keen couldn't do it either, as the save doesn't store the ships, just the random number used to select them.

when i opened the file yesterday i saw on the list ships that i had never seen in-game, which means that i'd never see them if i didn't change the file
way to avoid adding spawned but unseen ships on the list?

@LookAtMyHorse I have no idea what you are talking about. It doesn't sound workable, or useful to players.

is it possible to limit blacklisting to not the ships that are spawned but the ones that you touched?
i mean it adds to the list the ship that has spawned, but if it spawned and then despawned without my attention it will still be on black list and i won't encounter a ship that i never saw
