(Outdated - See Description) Mothership (No Mods)

Description
Outdated. New version available here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1654318202

The Mothership! A full-service, survival-ready mobile base.

Features:

6 docked advanced mining ships with large landing gear and connector retention. No-thruster-damage launch system!
20 Refineries
36 Arc Furnaces
24 Assemblers
3 Large Reactors
12 Large Cargo Containers
3 Jumpdrives
1 Hydrogen Tank
Completely plumbed front to rear with an out-of-sight underfloor conveyor system
Full oxygen system, with individual ship sections separated by airlocks controlled by sensors

This ship is set up for massive refining and manufacturing, and to provide everything a large team of players needs to survive in the harsh depths of space.

The one thing it is not, however, is a warship. The turrets are mostly for show, and are not hooked into the conveyor system for aesthetic reasons; there would be no way to hide the conveyor tubes for most of them. As a result, they are limited to whatever ammo they have onboard. However, if you have the need, it would be very easy to tie them in.

Please note: This ship is NOT rated for atmospheric operations and cannot safely land on a planet without major alterations. However, it is well-equipped to function as as carrier for landing ships, so if you wish to supply some it is more than capable of servicing them.

Changes as of the 12/15/2015 update:

1. All doors replaced with sliding doors.
2. Mining ships replaced with newer versions that are more capable; see my Advanced Miner for details.
3. Jumpdrives added.
4. Hydrogen tank added; the ship itself does not use hydrogen, but it has a tank to allow it to service small craft.
5. Interior lighting tweaked for DirectX 11. I do not recommend using Tonemapping, though, as it tends to cause all sorts of weird lighting artifacts.
6. Tweaked the paintjob, replacing the exterior grey highlights with white.
7. Cleaned up the rear end.

Note: the ship is configured to use the Automated Inventory Sorting mod, should you happen to have it available in your world. This fixes a LOT of the headaches with distributing ore to the various refineries. In order to make use of it, turn "Use conveyor system" OFF on the various inventory-containing blocks and then add the mod to your world. This mod is, by no means, needed. It does not add any blocks, or other features to the game; all it does is make the conveyor system behave less stupidly.

Happy mining!

Updated! Ship has now received a full update with the latest game features, including sensor-triggered sliding doors throughout. It also has a full complement of my Advanced Miners. Since Keen fixed connectors (finally), I was able to retain the docking pistons.

Still haven't gotten around to updating the blueprint, but you can get the new miners yourself here:

I will soon be updating this with my improved mining ships that have a full oxygen system, paintjob, and tapered edges, as well as full automation and remote control capabilities.
