Z-Grey UI (Ironman Compatible)

Description

Z-Grey UI is an alternate UI color mod with the aim of giving the user a grey-dark theme without it being over bearingly dark. It changes nothing more than the color of UI with the addition of the buttons for diplomacy, ledger, rivals, nation designer, etc, all being given a face lift.

This was a time consuming project but ultimately worth it, I hopy you enjoy it. :)

Inspired by Dasungesagte's UI mods

Updated to 1.19.x

My UI mods were made, from the ground up, on the vanilla UI first; Support/compatibility for other UI mods came after I had all the vanilla UI elements modded and made into PSD's.

Other Color(s) Available:
Z-FaithFul UI
Z-Purple UI

If I've missed any part of the UI please let me know, I did go through the files rather extensively but you never know.

Due to load order issues for a specfic UI mod (mapmodebuttons) I put the "Z" in the name to avoid any conflicts with that mod or any other mod that would cause problems in the future.

Installation instructions in readme!

All compatibility patches have been moved to google docs and have been updated - click here[docs.google.com]

List of mods I have compatibility for:
Better UI by [R]Batziy
Bigger UI++ (excluding War Overview) by Delincious
Bigger UI (an updated and maintained Bigger UI++) by pvdkleijn
TBARW EXTRA: User Interface Full and Lite by In Heaven

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

List of mods I use and recommend

Better Fog of War Mod - By Safir
Better UI - By [R]Batziy <--- In pictures however no longer use this as my main UI mod, plus the pics were taken on 1.12 before 1.14's design change. I should really update my mods pictures. :P
Flag Improvements Package[forum.paradoxplaza.com] - By Futomato
MapModeButtons - By Technoluddite <--- in pictures, however mod can no longer be updated due to changes made by Paradox in 1.14, however if you're still on 1.13 or lower the mod will still work for you.
Thick borders and Recolored Water 1.3 - By In heaven
TBARW EXTRA: Transparent political mapmode - By In heaven
TBARW EXTRA: Darker water - By In heaven
TBARW EXTRA: White font - By In heaven
Bigger UI++ - By Delincious <--- I personally use 3 (bigger war overview felt unnecessary for me) of these over Better UI as it is more cohesive with the square UI change made with patch 1.14.
Bigger UI - by pvdkleijn

Hello all, I've just put my mods back to visible status even though I have no immediate plans to update them. As for why I have no plans to, I do not have the will power to do it and a big part of that is Paradox's continuous updates. The other being the tedious and time consuming nature of updating each patch and Paradox's retreading of old paths by updating the same UI elements nearly every update; some small, some big and some invisible to the end user but all of it annoyingly stupid for me. I'm not saying I will never update the mods but as Paradox continues to update the game and changing the UI, I feel less compelled to want to update. I do apologize to those who want an update but at this current time I cannot give you a certainty of an update in the near future. I decided to make the mods visible again so those who play on 1.19 and lower the ability to interchange between those updates with these mods.

Perhaps set up some kind of a team? Ask folks to help and make it community project :)

Anyhow, good job man!

No, I have no plan to make any other colors because frankly I, too, don't really have the time for it, nevermind the patience it would require.

I understand exactly where Dasungesagte is coming from because it's very tedious and time consuming to update these mods. Especially if you have very little time for yourself to enjoy, it will cut into it in a big way. And make no mistake there is nothing fun at all about updating these mods. I already know this newest update can and probably will eat up my entire day off too.

As long as it takes. Also you are not inspired by adding some other colours since other mod is not supported anymore?

Red/Yellow would be really cool man :)

It's a busy work week for me so you'll have to bear with me here as it will take some time for me to get the update done. Ideally I'd like to get it updated by Thursday but it's very possible it might not get done till April 16th.

Update?
Zomgerd  [author] 8 Feb, 2017 @ 5:22pm
Compatibility Patches are up to date and from what I can tell Better UI did not need to be updated on my end, I also added Bigger UI to the list but it's basically the updated and maintained Bigger View+++ mods that also didn't seem to need updating.

Mod updated, however, compatibility patches have not been, should expect those on thursday.

I'd like to take the time to say I'm officially in the process of updating my UI mods to 1.19; I'm aiming to have them updated by Thursday February 9th but this is subject to change which will be reflected in the updates post under ETA should it be necessary. Another necessity I will need to attend to is the finishing of moving the compatibility patch links to google docs like I had intended to a long time ago as I've hit the character limit on the mod page. And one last thing, I'm not guaranteeing I will have compatibility patches updated to go along with the update to the mods but I will try my best to get them done soon after if not the same day.
