Economy Suite 10x

Description
Hello fellow Space Engineers! Today I present you with the Economy Suite.

The Economy Suite has two primary functions:

The first primary function is a method of Ingot compression into Canisters. A Canister contains 500 Ingots, has a fraction of the volume, and 75% the weight of it's uncompressed counterpart. A Canister can be made in the Compressor block; don't be fooled, it looks like a refinery (most likely temporarily depending upon general feedback) but operates as an assembler – no efficiency upgrades for you! All Canisters can be decompressed in the Compressor back into Ingots. This function will likely help players in a multitude of ways, from sub-trades in deep space without Credits, to transporting goods in smaller vessels, to reducing the amount of cargo containers required, and more.

The second primary function comes with an in game physical currency and an Admin only block for multiplayer. This Admin block is an ATM that slices, dices, and even looks sharp. How it works is that you put your Canisters into the ATM, go into the production menu, and produce Credits from the appropriate Canister type. Credits, inversely, can be traded in at the ATM for Canisters of any Ingot type, given the player can afford what he is looking to buy. Credits are stackable. Credit value is based loosely on calculations from the Space Engineers Trade Calculator (http://ripexz.github.io/se-trade/), among other data and considerations. For instance, Stone was devalued significantly because of it's abundance, refining speed, refining ratio, and the absurdly low requirements of Stone in survival; should Gravel based concrete ever become part of the vanilla game then I would restore most of Stone's value.

IMPORTANT - Before downloading this mod you need to know which assembler efficiency setting your world is running at. This MUST correspond with the mod release. There are four releases of the Economy Suite: 1x Assembler Efficiency, 3x, 5x, and 10x. If you disregard this warning your players will be able to exploit the Credit system. The issue is that a higher assembler efficiency also requires that much less in resources to create an item – so someone could sell 20 Silicon Canister for 80 credits and buy 300 or more Silicon Canisters for the same 80 credits. I think you can see the general idea of the issue. I tried to resolve this by making the Credit an Ingot, among other things, to no avail. Four releases it is then!

This mod is still a work in progress – there are definitely some textures I need to revisit (*COUGH* Canisters *COUGH*). If you notice any bugs (that are NOT related to Assembler Efficiency) please feel free to let me know. I'd be more than glad to make it right.

I hope that you enjoy this mod, and I hope that it helps to facilitate trade, teamwork, and maybe even a little more piracy ;)

** MODDERS **
I want to work with the plugin makers and general modding community. While I do not authorize re-releases of this or any of my mods – I would like you to have the ability to interface with this mod. For instance, should the writer of the Shipyard plugin wish to create a Credit friendly release (i.e. the crate requires credits to build a ship) I would be more than happy to help him. Don't be shy.

The classname (subtype) of the Credit component is literally “Credit”.

I will do my best to update my mods only on Thursdays to help ease the efforts of sever hosts as they will be updating their servers (and waiting for an extender update) anyways.

Here are the links to each of the releases for the Economy Suite:

1x Assembler Efficiency https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=469299729

3x Assembler Efficiency https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=469304398

5x Assembler Efficiency https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=469306174

10x Assembler Efficiency https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=469307254

I can be pretty awful about responding to feedback (quite often I don't even get a notification from Steam via the Steam client) but if it's constructive or something that would be worth implementing I usually write it down. When time permits I try to implement it.

Known Bugs:
- None that are within my control
- Collision Meshes of the components are wonky after the latest update

@Reign i noticed a few reuploaded edits of this mod for servers, and thought id be the one to ask before doing so for mine, id also like to try and give this mod a bit of a facelift if i can manage while still giving full credit to you

ahh I see, I figured there was a good reason for it

@Kyopsis23 -- The reasoning behind this additional mass for lore is that artificial gravity is what's used for compression, the requirements of forcing material to pack so densely leads to increased mass as the contained gravity must be exponentially greater -- for gameplay purposes it prevents stockpiling ships from moving massive amounts of materials without some drawback -- causing a preference for credits.

Im noticing the compressed ingots are dramatically heavier than the uncompressed ingot, it certainly has alot less volume, but if I do the minimum for one iron canister, 150kg, the cannister is 375kg, where is all this added weight coming from? I can perhaps understand the container adds weight but thats a considerable amount of weight

I have a friend that believes he can fix the issue with the mod using what he has currently. Would it be ok for him to do this?

Thats fine mate i understand.

When I left the US I lost all source files for all of my mods and projects. I didn't have the time in 2016, or resources, to work on or update them. Unfortunately these mods are on the mid-low priority spectrum for the time being. I'll try to dedicate some time on saturdays to rebuilding models.

Any news on the invisible compressor?
