Description
Something's happened to GLaDOS because of that strange Override Gamma protocol..now you have to find both her and a way out of this place...

This map series is a remake of my very first map series overall, Escape From Aperture. (Someone else made a series with an identical title, but they mainly used BEEMOD in the creation of it.) My goal for this was to remake the original experience as best I could in making the story make sense without the need for massive description stories and extremely contrived plot elements. (Some parts might seem a little bit contrived, still. I did my best to try and fix those moments, but...) Anywho, simple enough, your goal is to Escape from Aperture, as the title suggests.

Most of these maps contain a fair few easter eggs, see if you can find them all!
This map has 2 easter eggs. One's hard to catch, the other one's hard to miss.

NOTE! This map has a bit of a bug; if the start elevator does not move, point your cursor at the floor of the lift and enter the console command "ent_fire !picker startforward" without the quotation marks.

Or else just restart the map 50,000 times. Not literally, for those who don't understand jokes.

0==== Q&A =====0
"How did you make this?"
- I used the Portal 2 Authoring Tools, the tool in fact used by Valve to make the main campaigns of Portal 2. No, BEEMOD was not involved in any way, so if you were going to ask about that, don't.

"How did you get Wheatley/PotatOS in there?"
- In using the Portal 2 Authoring Tools, you have every asset of Portal 2 available for use. It's just the matter of figuring out how they work, first...

"Is this what you wanted, Stanley?"
- Prepare for unforeseen consequences...

4/5; elevators that tend to go nowhere and ripoff complexes

This remake may not bee 100% perfected, but I hope you enjoy it anyways!
If you happen to make a video of your playthrough, I'd like to see it. Link in the comments below, if you would.

I also had the same elevator problem with my map series (The subject KILLER) because I made a custom script file for the elevators in my series. But just a few tweaks in the script did fix the problem and I updated my maps to put the updated & fixed script file.

Thank you for nightmares about getting stuck in elevator while everything around you explodes!

It's a weird problem with Valve's default elevator instance. I have no idea what causes it to fail, and it wasn't until quite some time after this that I managed to create a failsafe version of the instance.

Still, should you get stuck in any non-moving entry lifts in the future, the solution I noted in the description should always help.

The elevator didn't start, so I restarted the map 50,000 times until it did.
Not literally.
More like 3.

It's as good as the rest. I hope that you'll have more ideas instore for the future.

It's a console command. [upgrade_potatogun] without the brackets.

To give the player PotatOS as part of a map, have an object of any kind fire a Command output to either a point_servercommand or point_clientcommand. Doesn't really matter which.
