CVBN-1 Seraphim class Drednought (WIP)

Description
SURVIVAL READY (See note 5 below)
Mass: ~5,800,000,000 Kg
Length: ~1km
Blocks: ~450,000

"These Drednoughts are not only the most powerful of their kind but the most powerful things ever created by the hands of man. With a length longer than a kilometer and a mass rivaling that of a small moon they stand as the ultimate tribute to our empires strength and power." - Admiral Liam noucks 13th armada.

This class of Drednaught is designed and developed by Black Comet aerospace's Capital ship development bureau A.K.A the "Dark star division".

The design process for this class of Drednought spanned almost 15 years and cost a whopping $980 Billion alone. The ships construction, while not yet complete, has cost another $560 Billion and is expected to cost $760 Billion when completed.
So far the goverment has signed on for six of such of these goliaths of engineering and power for a total program cost of $8.2 Trillion. With the ships being christened "Supernova", "Tolemy", "Terminus", "Blazar", "Enterprise", and "Ultimatum" respectivley. When they are complete they will account for almost 28% of the total tonnage of the empires entire navy.

These Drednaughts will form center of their respective fleets as such they each have their own refining and manufacturing systems to support prolonged fleet operations in deep space. All cargo and ammo connections have at least secondary and up to quadinary connections to enable the ship to continue to fight even after sustaining damage to roughly 75% of the ship.

Each drednaught is capable of carrier operations with a mix of 40 fighters, 40 drones, and 4 heavy bombers, they can also readily accomodate mining, drop pods, repair and salvage vessels if need be.
NOTE: It is recommended that the customer equip both strike fighters and heavy bombers for both space and atmospheric roles.

Each one has an extensive complement of offensive and defensive weapons. Including 2 primary mass drivers, 8 large torpedo tubes, 6 medium VLS (vertical launch system) cells, 12 Large VLS cells, railgun turrets, large caliber guns, lasers, CWIS, Flak, missile launchers, gatling cannons, decoys, and torpedoes. Most of the listed offensive weapons have the capability to either bombard a planet or provide a pinpoint strike or in the case of the VLS cells they can act as drop pod bays if need be.

For defense each drednaught has a large 150 GW shield array cappable of protecting against a 300+ megaton thermonuclear blast (or its equivalent) and has 25% recharge rate. Each vessels defensive armor can be up to 20+ meters thick of heavy armor in areas. It also has layers of "Advanced armor" and 50mm Thk. bolt on armor plates protecting various critical or otherwise exposed areas of the hull and subsystems.

For mobility every vessel has a vast array of thrusters in all directions, most notably the two primary thrusters located at the aft of the vessel. It also contains a massive warp drive array capable of warping the ship
75,500,000 Km in a single jump.

Classification break down:
CV: Carrier
B: Battleship (shortened from BB)
N: Nuclear
1: First of its class

The CVBN-1 "Supernova" carries the motto "per a caelis incidunt" which translates to "through the heavens fall" which is derived from its ability to cause a mass extinction level event with a single shot from either of its two primary mass drivers.

SOON TO COME FUNCTIONS & FEATURES:
"Black void" stealth system (on hold awaiting fixes from subsystem supplier)
fighter & drone repair/construction bay (next update)
Drone functionality defense & offense (next update)
Missile and torpedo functionality (next update)
Decoy assembly and launcher (next update)
Warning siren & battle horn for vessels that wander into ships area of influence (partially installed)
Radar (In process)
Heavy bomber arming array (in process)
Autopilot and automated jumping (in process)
CIC and bridge overhaul (in process)
Live feed of missile, drones, turrets and fleet vessels in command center and bridges (planning)
AI audio warnings and advisories (planning)

NOTES:
1. This is also (so far as I know) the heaviest (and possibly largest) ship built in SE and posted on the WS
2. I have yet to code or integrate many of the planned subsystems (VLS launching and guidance, fighter repair depot, AI systems and warnings complete with audio, torpedo launch and guidance, automated launch and recovery of drones, and various preset combat modes)
3. The interior is nowhere near done.
4. If you want to help or have ideas for any of the above please tell me in either the comments or via PM.
5. As crazy as it may sound, it is survival ready, so you can build if you want. Although I haven't finished the shipyard intended to automatically build and service these vessels but feel free to make your own, in fact it'd be happy to see stuff like that.

do you have a idea of when the game can handle a creation of this size i dont if its our computers stopping us or the game but it would be sweet to have a fleet with one of these in there

Sorry, but sadly the lag makes it unplayable for me.

@Hyperion Yes the flames are very much vizable in DX11, also thanks, ships of this scale require so much hard work and dedication so its awesome to hear stuff like that!
