But I also made a video of the map, which should definitely be helpful to you or anyone else:
I played the snail (under the old settings with less troops) and recorded that. I will try to upload the video and link it into the map-description, so I hope that might help you out then.
When you are after one crossbowman the other forces of the enemy on the walls and towers shoot your troops. Definitly they have the height advantage. That causes the loss. From my point of it is a very dfifficult map to overcome.
I did it several times, so it is definitely possible.
I guess I might give the attacker a little bit more troops at the beginning, but healers should not be necessary. Also it takes a lot of time to heal, it would unnecessarily slow the game down.
I am writing the same message again which I wrote before;
upon yr request.
"Thank you.
But the problem is after thefirst gate.Attackin army is under firefrom two sides of the snail road.
That gives the most damage to the attacking force. I am looking forward to receive at least healers for the wounded soldiers and maybe more powerful troops."
anyone else, who feels the map is to difficult?
maybe you can write it again?
I am really sorry, wanted to delete my own post, because it was a double-post.
I have to leave now, I hope my tipps are helping you.
But I will look into the troop-count again, if indeed needed.
Take all the rangers und (horse)archers at the front line to kill the crossbowman first - always. This is your top priority. Hold all other troops out of their firing range, only use them to destroy gates and defend the archers against grundforces. If you play against the KI it is also recommended to save before every gate, just in case.
You should be able to break through the last gate with about 180 maceman, 40 archers and all 20 sassanid knights. At least that is what I did most of the time. Then you should have no trouble winning this...
How far did you get?
