With the original MACannon (Magnetic Accelerator Cannon) that I made. People had tons of suggestions, but a few agreed on the fact that there should be a fixed version of this for small ships. Welp, here you are! Enjoy the new cannon for small ships, and yes it's survival ready and DX11 & DX9 compatible. It also kicks butt, if you were wondering. Next I'll be making a more requested version - A stationary version for large ships thats about 4x the size of the ordinary starter ship and cracks capital ships into tiny, tiny bits and scares away school children.
Instructions for use:
1. Download
2. Use in mods section of world settings
3. Wait for the damn loading screen
4. ???
5. Use old joke (This one)
6. PROFIT!

will you be updating this mod to have a proper model again? the current model is pink
i remember being one of the ones on the original MAC mod which sugguested the OP version and the smallship version

Is it just me or does somebody else have the problem, that this weapon wont show up as a weapon in the G-menu, ergo you cant fire it with the left mouse button?

Wouldn't it just be MAC? MAC stands for "Mass Accelerator cannon".

Love everything about this except I feel one thing that needs clarification:
When you said range is 800m, do you mean turret "targeting range" is 800 or does the projectile literally disappear at 800m?

I think the best option would be to keep AI targeting range at 800 (same as all turrets like you said), but the projectile itself should travel much much further than that. This would give it some added benefitial utility for manual targeting. Best of all, it wouldn't be OP, because the further the target is away, the much harder it is to hit anything with manual firing.

And don't listen to the complainers about the size; BIG cannons are BEST cannons! :D
