Please read "Compatibility" before complaining about missing models/unusable weapons.

Important Notice:
I have been informed of an incompatibility with ULX that prevents setting limits on Ion Beam Cannons. It is currently being investigated

What is this?
Space Combat Classic is a revival and combination of Zupp's original Space Combat with the one popularized by McBuilds. Various versions of space combat are currently in use on several SB servers.

What's Included
* Ship Cores - Provide shields and armor
* Core Mods - Make your core more powerful
* Auto-Cannons - 400RPM .50 cal machine guns. Decent kinetic weapon
* Phasers - High damage EM/Thermal beam weapons
* Antimatter Blasters - Decent EM/Explosive/Thermal weapon
* Plasma Blaster - High-velocity EM/Explosive/Thermal weapons. Decent damage
* Laser Blaster - Low damage, but high rate of fire. EM/Explosive/Thermal weapon.
* 4x, 8x, 20x Rocket Pods - High velocity, high acceleration Explosive/Thermal weapons. Decent damge
* Ion Beam Cannon - Instantaneous travel beam weapon. Multiplier-capable, cap at 1000 (150k dps). EM/Thermal Weapon.

Remember: Don't rely on one type of weapon, your enemies may make use of a core mod making them resistant to that type of damage!

How to Get Started:
1. Build a vehicle, be it car, boat or space ship.
2. Spawn a prop you think would make a good core.
3. Use the Ship Cores tool on it with your prefered core selected.
a) Each core has its own advantages and disadvantages, be sure to experiment
4. Weld your new core to the vehicle and wait for it to calculate its health.
5. Weld any desired mods and weapons on to your vehicle.
6. Destroy your enemies

Notes:
* All weapons require energy to run. In addition the Ion Beam Cannon requires nitrogen.
* You can press E on most weapons to print an overview into the console.
* You can turn off certain parts of the damage system with convars.

Compatibility:
* This addon is compatible with PewPew blast and point damage weapons, as well as most GCombat and SBEP weapons.
* Comptabilbe with parented ships, if constraints are preserved.
* GCombat weapons designed for RD2 & SB2 are automagically converted to RD3 & SB3 combatible versions.
* However, GCombat weapons usually require updating for GMod 13 before the converter will be able to make them work.
* For the best experience you must have Spacebuild 3 and the Spacebuild Enhancement Pack installed. Without them the weapons will be unusuable.

* Core stat dependent weapons
* Better effects
* Slice damage support

Known Bugs:
* Wooden vehicles and strucutes that have a core may still be ignited and/or broken by weapons. This is under investigation.
* (Possibly fixed) Slice damage based weapons are incompatible and will ignore cores, resutling in rapid unplaned disasembly.

These are INCREDIBLE! No shield can sustain itself against an armada of these weapons.

This addon doesn't add a rover, and neither do any of its requirements as far as I'm aware. You'll need to ask the creator of the rover addon.

The mod has potential but right now it is inferior to the gcombat based SBEP weapons. Not many weapons to choose from and none of them are really capital ship grade. The weapons tend to have low damage but make many shots - it strains servers, especially true for the rocket launchers. I built a single-seater fighter -granted, it's a damn good one- and tested the weapons on it. The TTK was stupidly long, even the phaser did only cca 15% damage to the shields / shot. And that was a fighter class vehicle, standing still to be blasted at.
