Bounty 2 - VTOL - World File - Small Ship Gone Wild

Description
A small VTOL ship with a bit of cargo space for transporting goods around.
Not a completely finished ship (everything works and is plumbed but has a few blank programmable blocks and LCDs, etc as well as some space to put your own stuff). I usually don't take ships to paint and add curtains - still waiting on the official release of planets to see if this stuff really holds up.

Its my first successful attempt at a VTOL that has rotating engines that lock in with merge blocks rather than connectors or landing gear.

A big issue I tried to overcome (without proper testing on a planet) was the added weight from cargo changing the center of gravity during vertical takeoff. Hopefully it'll work out, but if not, add more thrusters and toggle them on or off if full or empty? I don't know, try it and if you discover something, share it :)

Thanks, I hope you get it working properly for you. Rotors are a pain, but you may be able to add a script to ensure the rotors turn 90 degrees exactly every time which would ensure it lines up right for the merge blocks. There are some nice solutions for those things now. Whether they'd cure all that ails the VTOL, I don't know.

Hoping someday VTOLs will work reliably, but at the moment it does not seem possible yet.

Did you lock them into place? They will stay if the merge blocks are locked, but if they are not aligned properly (a game issue with the rotors not moving the same amount every time), then yeah, they will just rip right off.

It's an awesome ship. Only problem so far I see. In Space" is when you get the thruster's going they fall apart, I'm sure when more update's come out it will stablize that.. Awesome ship tho!
