Outpost 17 survival scenario. Chapter Zero: "Failed investigation". Part 1

Description
This is the old scenario, but it still playable at the currect game version. You can check my newest scenario, that uses visual scripting, like in vanilla campaign, here:






UPDATE 1>>>>
*Fixed bug, when you can't get in to the dining hall, if you run from the Thing to the corridor, before dining hall door has closed.
*Added additional welder to the storage room.
*Fixed wrong elevator position.

1) This work- prequel to the previous work, which describes the fate of the Aquadria pilot, whose wrecked ship you can see in the first episode.
It has no practical value. It serves only to enable you to play in something like a campaning mission with its own game atmosphere, get scared in some places of outpost and complete some tasks in the process of playing this map.
2) All LCD's, messages, and other stuff writed on english and russian.
3) Please read the following guidelines and rules for complete finishing this map.

4) Groups in control panel in english.
5) Thing appearance is not attached to the sensors (except some places), and other systems. It can appear and try kill you at any moment.
6) WITHOUT MY MOD(OUTPOST 17 SCENARIO MOD PACK), THIS SCENARIO IS NOT PLAYABLE.




1) Do not use control panel tool. I'd be happy to block your access to them, but in some places it is impossible, for others i dont have scenario tools. (I mean control panel, with all groups of blocks and other things. Interact with the environment through button panels or other access terminals)

2) Use to interact with the panels, doors, and other objects(except cargo containers) "T" key. If the door not open by pressing "t", then there are access panel, where you can turn on the door / open.

3) In the beginning, you can be respawn only in the start med-block. In process of passing map, you can find other med-blocks to respawn there. Portable wall med-stations are used for healing, but not for a respawn.

4) Carefully read the notes of your character, outpost personnel and same information from the LCD panels. They will help you understand what is happening on base.

5) Carefully inspect each room, perhaps there are parts, or other things that you need to pass this level.

6) You are not alone on the base, now for sure. In seconds, the situation of the peace and quiet can turn into life-threatening.

7) This is not a complete episode. Only the first part. The second part will be available as soon as I finish it.




You are a federal UFPF agent, and the Aquadria pilot. Your last mission was:
investigate and gather information and evidence about the case № 778301D8F, of disappearance of many ships in the sector 17 and the loss UFPF rescue ship "Arizona". Upon arrival at the sector of your Aquadria's squad, together with the scout ship "Dromos", you were attacked by old drones. Your defend attempt has failed. Heavily damaged "Dromos" get out of the battle via his jump-drive, and your unit was almost completely destroyed. On the damaged ship, you have reached up to the unknown asteroid, then you made a hard landing, breaking one of the base buildings, and escaped through the first door from the hall, which you landed, before drones get you. Explosion of damaged ship, blocked the way back. Now you have to go through this unknown base, simultaneously collecting information and clues about what is happening there.

Conditions -
you have 5 lives.

Goal -
Fly away from the base, in process, collecting information and evidences for the Command , about what is happening in the sector 17.




Still, weapon- your best friend. Try to get it as soon as possible. This episode uses mode, which made and prepared by me. Yes, whole mod for scenario. For a man who never done it, and without proper tutorials, it was very difficult to understand the game 3D modeling, convertion of models (stupid mvm builder works normally only via the command line), sounds, and other content in a game format. I spent two weeks in the self-study the basics of working with the FBX models in various 3D editors. (And texturing of the models), codes for sbc mode files , setting up and creating character animations (which you can see in the screenshot), LCD images, and other things. I hope you enjoy it. map contains screamers, ambient sounds and other good and not good things.

So this mod has been highly revered on Steam, along with the other Outpost 17 scenarios. This according to the author is considered a Prologue to Chapter 1. However, in its current form - it is broken. You can play parts of it - but many other parts don't seem to work properly; since Space Engineers has changed so drastically since 2016/2017.

I myself would LOVE to see these mods updated and continued, unfortunately the mod author has left SE in the dust last I heard and won't be returning. So far I've tried using the betas tab to go rollback updates but ive yet have any luck in getting them to function properly.

So if anyone is expecting to download this and the requisites as is with the expectation that it will work - it most likely won't.

Im confused with how many versions of this mod there is. What one do I download to play the campaign you have made? I see a part 1 and part 2 and such. Is the new Demo version all of it in one?

@Sol, i just check it, and it works fine for me, nothing happens. You can fix it in game, just find power sources, and turn it on, or add another, coz i can't recreate your problem.

Hey, not sure if this is part of the map, but before I can do anything at the admin level, the station power just dies

it's now playable at latest game version and my scenario mod. But you need to know, it's old version of scenario type. It's without VS tool support, and other good things, that i use in Remastered version. New remastered version of scenario, will be available soon as possible
