Description
Age of Wonders - New Dawn

A massive content mod for Age of Wonders 3 with the aim to expand both on racial and class mechanics, vastly improve the dwelling experience and focus on diversity.

! Work in progress ! - we are still learning about the mod tools and this is by no means the final product we strive for, but please feel free to hop on board and enjoy testing!

Firstly, this mod is rather large in scope and is being actively worked on and tested on daily basis. That being said, at any given time the mod might prove severely unbalanced for one or more class/race combinations, as their units/spells/skills are still on our To do list..

Icons and descriptions will arrive as soon as we get the majority of units, spells, skills and abilities in place. The modding tools are fairly young and we are still learning what all can be done (and so far it seems that just about anything can be achieved save for some core changes).

Final features we aim for

- 12+ more units for each race
- 12+ more units for each class
- each dwelling has an option to be built up into different tribes/factions using a unique structure tree, allowing the player to include different races of allies into his cadre (Vampires, Mercenaries, Spirits, Elementals, Cults, Titans, Werewolves etc)
- each structure, upgrade or strategic/tactical skill should provide the player with at least one buildable/summonable unit under the right conditions
- new tactical abilities

Some of the new features -
- fringe elementals
- combat summons
- plethora of new undead
- vampires
- gemstone golems
- animated weapons and armor
- scores of custom items
- racial and class units for most classes including several Tier IV units to increase the late game diversity
- most of the existing dwellings received sizeable reinforcements
- Demon dwelling added with a set of custom demon units and structures
- Vampire dwelling added with a set of custom vampire units and structures
- six custom adventure map spawners added to increase the diversity of enemies that roam the wilds
- Elemental Rift, Pure Brotherhood Fort, Rogue Mercenary Fortress, Dark Foothold, Summoning Circle, Vampire Hunting Lodge
- custom treasure locations - Lost Pyramid (now with mummies :) )

Testing of new mechanics and features has been moved to our internal mod - Heroes of New Dawn, to prevent negative impact on player experience. New Dawn is still considered work in progress, but the more daring, dangerous and unpolished features are now tested only internally.

Some of the tested features include several new classes (Alchemist is nearly finished and ready for general release).

17.5.2017 update - We would like to thank everyone for the continuous support! Seeing that our mod is still popular is very rewarding. Unfortunately, as most of you who have followed the mod for some time know, we haven't been able to update the mod thanks to technical difficulties for some time. Due to this, most of the team moved on to new projects, which is understandable. As of now we would like to keep the main mod stable (which has always been our priority, despite of several episodes of mod tool instabilities). It contains plenty of features and no major bugs that would be detrimental to gameplay experience.

I have been trying to figure out why we haven't been able to upload new update, and will continue to do so. For any further testing and updates, I'll probably fiddle only with the sister mod - Heroes of New Dawn, so in case I manage to do SOMETHING, it will not hurt those who are using the main mod.

The project was stalled and ultimately stopped because of problems with the modding tools. It's in perfectly working order with no game breaking bugs, so you can still enjoy it, new classes included! Adding new content however proved nigh impossible without causing issues.
We've since moved to Age of Wonders: Planetfall.

I play yours mod and its little too hard. I play on hard difficult and there are too many monsters i yours IV-tier especialy undeads.
Maybe I`m a noob, but if I play normal difficult mod I play good, but another things are too simple.

Still playing his mod. The base game is good value, played 200+ hours, but I have 400 more hours from this fine bit of work. Thx mate.

I believe the complications stem from this mod, as its the most recent I added.
All Mythic and Epic building types are the newer version, for example I only see the building that makes Tree of Life, and the Temple of the Serpent building never appears.
