Tanksy's Character Creator (DLC Edition)

Description
Tanksy's Character Creator (2.0 - DLC Edition) ~

This mod allows a much greater amount of character customization.

This version REQUIRES DLC.
For the Non-DLC Edition: Go Here!
(The Non-DLC Edition is due for a re-work and currently has fewer/different features to the DLC edition)

2.0 RE-WORK:
==~==~==~==~==~==~==~==~==~==

The "2.0 Re-Work" is a long over-due update, which changes many things from how the mod is set up to what the mod now changes.

Quite a few people have asked about changing the way every race costume is available cross-race.
This has been changed. Costumes from different classes remain unlocked, but you can no longer have, for example, a Draconian body on a Dwarf head.
This change is a result of the majority of mod users not wanting to sit sifting through 50+ "Bodies" to find the one that actually matches their race.
I may experiment in the future to see about adding things such as High Elf bodies to Humans (As the difference is very subtle and really only makes the Leader look thinner.)

Postures have been restricted to their race once more.
This change is a result of over half of the postures I'd "unlocked", being identical to each other except designed for the smaller races (Goblins/Halflings/Dwarves).
Now, the only posture that is unlocked between races is the "Dead" posture.

The number of available colours was initially a great idea - but they have since been greatly reduced.
This change is due to complaints regarding how tedious it is to click through over 160 colors every time.
The 165 Skin Colours have been removed and replaced with only an additional 47 commonly used colors on top of the vanilla colours for that race.
93 hair colours have been removed, as these were mostly only a slight difference in colour/shade from the other options available, and would be rarely (if ever) used.
I may replace all the hair colours with the new 47 colours used by the skins, if the current hair colour number is too high for people.

Hairstyles and beards have been re-locked between races, for now.
As with the costumes, I may look into adding hairstyles between very similarly built races, so that they fit and don't result in floating hair/beards.
Females can still have beards, males can still have female hairstyles.

I re-checked Every listed item in the data and ensured everything has an equal random roll chance. Certain hairstyles/accessories will no longer have a slightly higher chance of being picked when generating a random Leader.

It's not great, and it's not a solution, but currently the mod works - IF you start from scratch.
Another non-solution, is using the non-DLC edition, to bring back the large bodies.

I don't want you to have to do either of these.

The "rework" of the mod was going to be a pretty big project, where each race would have their own selection of hairstyles, accessories and bodies, taken from other races, and correctly scaled to the correct race proportions. As it stands now, the mod currently has a few hairstyles that are made to fit Orcs as a tester, following the wisdom of my friend Charlatan (Author of Decodence, amongst other great works).

However, I quickly ran out of free time and due to that, I lost motivation to work on the project. I would like to finish what I started and I will eventually get around to continuing it, but currently my little free time is spent doing programming and other things I want to do.

All I can really say is sorry.

I hope too you could bring back the mod as it was, with a beautiful lot of more customization!

I completely understand if you're too busy at the moment to bring back this feature, or make a sub-mod that uses the old features this mod used to have. But if you ever do have the time, many out there will surely be grateful if you do so. I'm not sure why you took the features out, as I see far more asking to bringing them back now than those saying the mod being too cluttered before.

As far as using your other mod without DLC, I've tried that and it still crashes due to the same problem. My characters are missing parts that are part of the DLC, and thus, crashes the game. While I certainly could delete them all and start over, seeing as many characters I have, it most likely would take more time to do that than for you to bring back the old features in this mod.

Although due to your reluctance, I assume you don't have an old copy of your past work.

It's easy to understand why this mod now causes crashes. If one used this mod when it had all the features that were since removed, the game has no way of finding the needed parts to display the characters, and therefore it crashes. Nothing to do with incompatibilities elsewhere.

Any chance of getting a version with all the bodies back? I can no longer make characters like this: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/31662654/Share/aow3fat.png

I don't understand why my mod is causing a crash within your game. Perhaps it is incompatible with other mods and their updates that you may also have installed.

The only thing I can recommend is deleting the character files that used my older mod versions and remaking them if at all possible. I would try looking into the issues but currently I'm really busy with work and have rarely got the time to invest in modding or feel in the mood for it..

Another alternative is trying my other version of this mod, which does not feature DLC content changes, as I believe (although not entirely certain anymore) that it uses the older method of doing things (with things simply being unlocked for all races, rather than there being a few added-in hairstyle models.)

This mod now crashes the game entirely. This happens any time I load the game using any leaders made with this mod.

Please. I beg you... reconsider bringing back the old version of this mod, with the additional "unmatching" body hair and types like you had before. My game is now broken due to your last patch removing features and content that it once had. I'd love to get into this game again, but it's currently not possible without removing all of my leaders. I know I'm not the only one who would appreciate seeing the previous content reimplemented.

All my old characters have been backed-up, so I can easily revert them once your mod is updated. If you don't wish to go in that direction with this mod, or (since it's been a long time) you've stopped modding AoW3, then could you possibly release the older version separately?

I'd love to revert to an older version of this mod on my own, but frustratingly, Steam makes doing that impossible. Again, please, please reconsider.

Thank you for all the work you've been putting into this. I'm one in the camp who enjoyed all the extra hairs *and* bodies that didn't "fit" perfectly. Some strange combos truly created some great-looking unique characters. And if you're attempting to bring them back even better than before, by all means have at it! Take your time, and thanks again.

It's coming, it's coming, slowly! Thanks to the author of the Decodence mod, I've worked out a way I can try to re-fit a lot of the hairstyles to the other races to reduce the floaty/clippyness of it. The next updates will gradually add these hairstyles as they're done but it's quite a time consuming process!

My hair! My wonderfull hair! It's gone. D: Now I have to dress my hair like any other scrub again. Please Tanksy, oh master barber! Please re-add the cross-race hair again! And the Cross bodies? Maybe just split mod in two versions?
