It's not great, and it's not a solution, but currently the mod works - IF you start from scratch.
Another non-solution, is using the non-DLC edition, to bring back the large bodies.

I don't want you to have to do either of these.

The "rework" of the mod was going to be a pretty big project, where each race would have their own selection of hairstyles, accessories and bodies, taken from other races, and correctly scaled to the correct race proportions. As it stands now, the mod currently has a few hairstyles that are made to fit Orcs as a tester, following the wisdom of my friend Charlatan (Author of Decodence, amongst other great works).

However, I quickly ran out of free time and due to that, I lost motivation to work on the project. I would like to finish what I started and I will eventually get around to continuing it, but currently my little free time is spent doing programming and other things I want to do.

All I can really say is sorry.
darth.cygnus 27 Nov, 2016 @ 1:20am
I hope too you could bring back the mod as it was, with a beautiful lot of more customization!
Uber-n00bie 8 Oct, 2016 @ 1:11pm
I completely understand if you're too busy at the moment to bring back this feature, or make a sub-mod that uses the old features this mod used to have. But if you ever do have the time, many out there will surely be grateful if you do so. I'm not sure why you took the features out, as I see far more asking to bringing them back now than those saying the mod being too cluttered before.

As far as using your other mod without DLC, I've tried that and it still crashes due to the same problem. My characters are missing parts that are part of the DLC, and thus, crashes the game. While I certainly could delete them all and start over, seeing as many characters I have, it most likely would take more time to do that than for you to bring back the old features in this mod.

Although due to your reluctance, I assume you don't have an old copy of your past work.
Uber-n00bie 8 Oct, 2016 @ 1:08pm
It's easy to understand why this mod now causes crashes. If one used this mod when it had all the features that were since removed, the game has no way of finding the needed parts to display the characters, and therefore it crashes. Nothing to do with incompatibilities elsewhere.
Ravencroft 3 Oct, 2016 @ 11:30am
Any chance of getting a version with all the bodies back? I can no longer make characters like this: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/31662654/Share/aow3fat.png
Tanksy  [author] 27 Sep, 2016 @ 9:36am
I don't understand why my mod is causing a crash within your game. Perhaps it is incompatible with other mods and their updates that you may also have installed.

The only thing I can recommend is deleting the character files that used my older mod versions and remaking them if at all possible. I would try looking into the issues but currently I'm really busy with work and have rarely got the time to invest in modding or feel in the mood for it..

Another alternative is trying my other version of this mod, which does not feature DLC content changes, as I believe (although not entirely certain anymore) that it uses the older method of doing things (with things simply being unlocked for all races, rather than there being a few added-in hairstyle models.)
Uber-n00bie 25 Sep, 2016 @ 8:17pm
This mod now crashes the game entirely. This happens any time I load the game using any leaders made with this mod.

Please. I beg you... reconsider bringing back the old version of this mod, with the additional "unmatching" body hair and types like you had before. My game is now broken due to your last patch removing features and content that it once had. I'd love to get into this game again, but it's currently not possible without removing all of my leaders. I know I'm not the only one who would appreciate seeing the previous content reimplemented.

All my old characters have been backed-up, so I can easily revert them once your mod is updated. If you don't wish to go in that direction with this mod, or (since it's been a long time) you've stopped modding AoW3, then could you possibly release the older version separately?

I'd love to revert to an older version of this mod on my own, but frustratingly, Steam makes doing that impossible. Again, please, please reconsider.
Uber-n00bie 29 May, 2016 @ 11:05pm
Thank you for all the work you've been putting into this. I'm one in the camp who enjoyed all the extra hairs *and* bodies that didn't "fit" perfectly. Some strange combos truly created some great-looking unique characters. And if you're attempting to bring them back even better than before, by all means have at it! Take your time, and thanks again.
Tanksy  [author] 28 Apr, 2016 @ 2:50pm
It's coming, it's coming, slowly! Thanks to the author of the Decodence mod, I've worked out a way I can try to re-fit a lot of the hairstyles to the other races to reduce the floaty/clippyness of it. The next updates will gradually add these hairstyles as they're done but it's quite a time consuming process!
Aedrion 28 Apr, 2016 @ 1:19pm
My hair! My wonderfull hair! It's gone. D: Now I have to dress my hair like any other scrub again. Please Tanksy, oh master barber! Please re-add the cross-race hair again! And the Cross bodies? Maybe just split mod in two versions?
Tanksy  [author] 17 Apr, 2016 @ 7:25am
What for?

Currently I'm halfway through modifying hairstyles and cloning then adjusting them to fit on different races better, but the Non-DLC version of the mod should still hold all the old things as I haven't updated that.
darth.cygnus 17 Apr, 2016 @ 4:35am
I know it's stupid and probably impossible, Tansky, but it's possible to have the previous version of this mod?
Pai de 5 13 Apr, 2016 @ 8:49pm
That's reasonable, the smaller body types don't fit well with the longer hairs as i remember, but anyway, im sure if you keep the options up like before, for most races, and polish it like you are intending to do, the mod will became even better than before.
Tanksy  [author] 13 Apr, 2016 @ 7:37pm
Mm, Well, right now I'm working on an update that will add more hairstyles between the different races. I'm trying to keep the cycling to a low, though - So I am curating what hairstyles/beard styles are available - For example; Halflings don't use anything but their own, because of their weird head scale - Even Dwarven beards/hairs appear to float halfway through their lower jaw.

Overall, you can expect that the Humans, Elves, Draconians, Orcs, Frostlings and possibly Tigrans will all share hairstyles/beardstyles soon.

The Dwarves and Goblins will share some things between each other - Although beards is an annoying one. Goblin's have a weird headshape that seems to completely lack a chin, so all the dwarven beards hover or have a thick moustache that covers the face.
Pai de 5 13 Apr, 2016 @ 7:04pm
But thats the thing, removing body types to every race was certainly a good direction, the cycling of then was indeed very painful, but removing the hairs is like taking out the main selling point of the mod IMO, i always thought of your mod as the "hair customization one", as there is other mods that expand on leader customizations and they are often not compatible with each other.

Plus, even though most of the hairs did indeed not look right is most body types, the option to use it is enough of a reason to keep it, there is not other mod YET that does this, and the cycling was not a problem either, as there was i think 100 hair types and each one was different enough to don't be as painful to cycle thought like the 250+ body types or hair colors that hardly changed from one another.
Tanksy  [author] 13 Apr, 2016 @ 5:22pm
The reason I removed that and just left it at gender mixxed is due to how a lot of hairs would be floating or clipping through the various heads.

I'll make an update to allow similaly built races to share hair, but if you were hoping for a Dwarf Beard on a Human Body then you're most likely out of luck as it doesn't fit right
Pai de 5 12 Apr, 2016 @ 6:11pm
Every change you did was very wise except the one you removed the option to have every hair for everyone, this was actually the biggest reason to use your mod, and i would recomend adding that back to it, or at least, make a separeted mod with this option, because that was 100% the reason for me at least to dowload your mod.
Tanksy  [author] 12 Apr, 2016 @ 12:17pm
I'm deciding on if I will allow some similarly-built races to share bodies, but generally I don't want to clutter up the character creation process too much. Humans and High Elves can easily share bodies and perhaps even hairstyles without too many options that would never be used, so I will bare this in mind. If there's enough requests for it then I'll do it sooner rather than later.
darth.cygnus 12 Apr, 2016 @ 11:52am
Oow, i liked so much the variations! Recently i made cool Meandor using male human body because the elfish one is too slim. Liked all the colors too, but i understand the reasons to these changes.
Tanksy  [author] 12 Apr, 2016 @ 9:09am
Hello all! I've followed up on various comments and requests and have reworked the mod, removing a lot of pointless colour options, and re-doing the outfits so that races no-longer share other races outfits. Hopefully, this makes the mod a lot nicer to use and making leaders less of a tedious click-fest trying to find the one thing you one amongst hundreds of other options.

Thank you for all the feedback.

@Silveryte - That's pretty much the deal, except now I've put the Hero Bodies back to their respective races. All the Scenes, Postures, Colours, Eyes and Eyebrows are unlocked through the non-race-specific Hero Customization Set.
Petra-DF 13 Mar, 2016 @ 10:48am
It should be simple to make it compatible, you probably used the Hero Customization Set to include all of this stuff to everybody. It's the same thing i used to include the new backgrounds.

All that would needed to be done is to create a mod that has both mine and your mods as dependency, after that we open that same file and make sure your stuff and my backgrounds are all in.

I'm making an update and i'll take a look later when i finish to see if this is possible.
Tanksy  [author] 13 Mar, 2016 @ 3:02am
@darth.cygnus:

That's because my mod doesn't have those backgrounds enabled. It might also be a priority issue. As it is, the way this mod works is it enables and changes a lot of things but it's all inside one single (or a couple at most) file(s), and the other character creation mods will use this same file - this means that most if not all changes in this mod will be overwritten by a mod with a higher priority. If the new backgrounds are added by a lower priority mod, then this mod would've overwritten it and not allowed those backgrounds due to this mod not having them enabled in the first place. I'm not sure how to make it compatible but I can work on it at a future date to see what I can do.
darth.cygnus 12 Mar, 2016 @ 7:59am
A little report: using this mod won't show the new backgrounds in the updated Age of Wardrobe extended https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=522629303
Athei 25 Jan, 2016 @ 6:35am
Hi, any chance of you creating just hair/beard mod? As in hair/beard color and styles unlock mod? With your colors that's all I need, currently it is too much work to create new leaders with your mod IMO, but I think the hair/beard mod wourd be great.
TheBucketKnight 20 Jan, 2016 @ 11:16pm
Looks amazing if I could just bloody well figure out how to flip between racial body and head types, then again I've not had an amazing amount of time to tinker with it.. yet. :D
mistress miaura 20 Jan, 2016 @ 4:37am
A must have mod for me, thanks very much :) !
Does add a huge amount of scrolling though- if there was a separate file for female and male not able to choose other gender clothes,or hugely different size races not able to choose the other, might ease it up,- on the other hand, though not used them yet, some of the male outfits looked quite good on female when making my latest chars :)
The Speaker 25 Oct, 2015 @ 12:37am
Would it be possible for you to make a seperate mod with just the new outfits you've added? I really like the idea for this mod but it's really a struggle for me to try and get the right body for the right race.
Tanksy  [author] 10 Oct, 2015 @ 3:35am
The braided beards I believe are a DLC addition^^
Uber-n00bie 10 Oct, 2015 @ 2:44am
Ahhhh ok. The confusion was from my thinking the large braided beards on humans were from the dwarven beards with this mod, but apparently they were always there in vanilla. So I was asking why some of dwarf beards were there for humans while others were not. My mistake. :P
Tanksy  [author] 10 Oct, 2015 @ 2:23am
Well, For humans, tigrans, frostlings, draconians, elves and orcs, there are no Dwarf, Halfling or Goblin hair/beard styles. This is something that I chose to do due to the way the hairstyles and beards are modeled to fit the dwarves etc *after* their bodies are down-scaled to their current size. Body sizes are scaled versions of one invisible body, basically. The clothing they wear is then their body type applied to this scale. The hairstyles and beards, when upscaled to match the human scale, go rediculously out of proportion both in size and positioning. - You end up with this kind of thing: Floating halfling moustache.
Gigantic dwarf beard coming from the nose.

Uber-n00bie 9 Oct, 2015 @ 9:13pm
I was curious if you purposely left out dwarf beards on other races (like humans) other than dwarf beards that are braided. If not, are you planning to the other long bushier beards to other races as well?

You continue to amaze me with your work on this mod! I had no idea it was even possible to add heros-only attires in this way. Kudos! Look forward to anything else you pull out of your hat. :P

And thank you.
Tanksy  [author] 5 Oct, 2015 @ 1:45pm
Another update unlocking some extra outfits: Warlord without the Lion, Dreadnaught with a short skirt and puffy collar, and some others hidden away under duplicate names, only used by heroes. ;)
Tanksy  [author] 5 Oct, 2015 @ 12:07pm
Updated the mod with a fix for the baldness bug, also added a couple of your screenshots! Big thanks to Demiurgus and his friends for helping be my guinea pigs!
Tanksy  [author] 5 Oct, 2015 @ 9:32am
Problem with that is, the facial textures don't match up with the headshapes and you'd get monsters like I linked in a previous comment.
Ivory Knight 5 Oct, 2015 @ 3:29am
Like your mod! But it would be even better if other race's headshapes were also unlocked.
Wolfie 4 Oct, 2015 @ 1:54pm
Sorry to double post justr saw the orc facial hairs. YOUR THE BOMB!
Wolfie 4 Oct, 2015 @ 1:50pm
Cheers mate! loving the bearded, body building elves!
Tanksy  [author] 4 Oct, 2015 @ 12:27pm
Huh, that's bizarre!

I'll look into it. When I tested ingame, the Draconian Horns worked fine - so then I done the same for all the hairs but didn't test it after that.
Nicol Bolas 4 Oct, 2015 @ 10:29am
I was just testing if everything works and sadly i have to tell you that in the category hairstyle for Frostling and Tigrans slots 40-120 are bald and halfling slots 25-64 are bald too. Same Story with beards. I guess those slots are supposed to be the horns etc. cause they are not in for me. I deinstalled your mod and reinstalled it again but it doesnt seem to fix it. I deactivated all mods exept yours still no luck. Maybe im missing something and it did not update correctly.

u are truly amazing! thanksfor the quick fix <3:HappyMask::HappyMask::HappyMask:
Tanksy  [author] 4 Oct, 2015 @ 8:19am
Okay, I've updated the mod - Btw, Bald for Frostlings is Hairstyle 10.

For a list of all the changes, see the latest Change Note. I've unlocked quite a few hair options for multiple races.
Tanksy  [author] 4 Oct, 2015 @ 7:30am
Update: Got it to work, by copying the Draconian hairstyles into the Shared resource pack and enabling the copies on the Frostlings.

What I could do to make things a little easier is copy every hair/beard style to the Shared pack..

Tanksy  [author] 4 Oct, 2015 @ 6:57am
Not every hairstyle and beard is unlocked for every race due to the way they are specially designed to fit that race's scale.
It's the reason why you can't put Halfling hair or body parts on a Human, because you end up with this; http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/420314861896909349/6F0F4A9E625B271AF9DF06C988D53325B572A330/

Or this;

http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/420314861899122286/0955B5B9F0DCFC8CA760C4CA87EB38676D89D535/

Because the proportions are messed up when they scale up.

What I can do is review the stuff, Draconian horns should be available for every race As a general guide I unlocked most things for races of similar build and height.
Wolfie 4 Oct, 2015 @ 3:51am
This is awesome!, request can you put some human beards on for the orcs? the bushy and chops?
Nicol Bolas 4 Oct, 2015 @ 2:17am
Hi. I like this mod very much. But it seems that for tigran and frostlings not all hairstyles are unlocked. the frostlings dont even have the bald option anymore. i would like to put some draconian horns on my frostlings is there a way to fix it?

anyway this mod is great and thank you for your effort
Tanksy  [author] 26 Sep, 2015 @ 7:46am
The "Hairy Helmets" is a side-effect of the changes made to the way accessories work. None of the accessories will hide the hair anymore, So you can do things like have Draconian horns on a helmet, or have hair on the Necromancer "bucket helm", etc. If you don't want hair sticking out of the head accessory, you'll need to set your character to be bald or use a hair that doesn't stick out where you don't want it to.

I'm not sure how this affects heroes, as I haven't looked into them much at all. In fact, I can't even find where proper hero data is stored - only the default preset. :(

Thanks for the praise!

Also, @TheSpeaker: I tried to look for flag colors but I have no idea where they could be in the game files. I'll try looking again, but I'm clueless right now. Sorry!
Uber-n00bie 26 Sep, 2015 @ 12:53am
Looks incredible in-game. I was surprised how much I enjoyed updating my leaders with larger or smaller-framed bodies now, along with new hair options etc -- great additions! My only concern is with hair sticking out from helmets since both are displayed simultaneously. I haven't noticed it during gameplay yet, but it seems like this could be an issue with heroes appearing with 'hairy helmets'. Then again, I haven't noticed this yet -- only when looking at leaders (which is easily fixable on my part).

Regardless, can't wait to see more from you. I *love* mods that add a ton of creative variety like these. Thank you!
The Speaker 26 Sep, 2015 @ 12:07am
Thanks for this mod, made some impressively different leaders :D Would it be possible for you to do another mod with more player flag colours? Customize all the things!
Tanksy  [author] 25 Sep, 2015 @ 6:19pm
Looks great! I'm going to be trying to get some good screenshots of the possibilities this mod gives, if you or anyone wants to link some screenshots of your created characters I'll be happy to use them on the Workshop!
