Another non-solution, is using the non-DLC edition, to bring back the large bodies.
I don't want you to have to do either of these.
The "rework" of the mod was going to be a pretty big project, where each race would have their own selection of hairstyles, accessories and bodies, taken from other races, and correctly scaled to the correct race proportions. As it stands now, the mod currently has a few hairstyles that are made to fit Orcs as a tester, following the wisdom of my friend Charlatan (Author of Decodence, amongst other great works).
However, I quickly ran out of free time and due to that, I lost motivation to work on the project. I would like to finish what I started and I will eventually get around to continuing it, but currently my little free time is spent doing programming and other things I want to do.
All I can really say is sorry.
As far as using your other mod without DLC, I've tried that and it still crashes due to the same problem. My characters are missing parts that are part of the DLC, and thus, crashes the game. While I certainly could delete them all and start over, seeing as many characters I have, it most likely would take more time to do that than for you to bring back the old features in this mod.
Although due to your reluctance, I assume you don't have an old copy of your past work.
The only thing I can recommend is deleting the character files that used my older mod versions and remaking them if at all possible. I would try looking into the issues but currently I'm really busy with work and have rarely got the time to invest in modding or feel in the mood for it..
Another alternative is trying my other version of this mod, which does not feature DLC content changes, as I believe (although not entirely certain anymore) that it uses the older method of doing things (with things simply being unlocked for all races, rather than there being a few added-in hairstyle models.)
Please. I beg you... reconsider bringing back the old version of this mod, with the additional "unmatching" body hair and types like you had before. My game is now broken due to your last patch removing features and content that it once had. I'd love to get into this game again, but it's currently not possible without removing all of my leaders. I know I'm not the only one who would appreciate seeing the previous content reimplemented.
All my old characters have been backed-up, so I can easily revert them once your mod is updated. If you don't wish to go in that direction with this mod, or (since it's been a long time) you've stopped modding AoW3, then could you possibly release the older version separately?
I'd love to revert to an older version of this mod on my own, but frustratingly, Steam makes doing that impossible. Again, please, please reconsider.
Currently I'm halfway through modifying hairstyles and cloning then adjusting them to fit on different races better, but the Non-DLC version of the mod should still hold all the old things as I haven't updated that.
Overall, you can expect that the Humans, Elves, Draconians, Orcs, Frostlings and possibly Tigrans will all share hairstyles/beardstyles soon.
The Dwarves and Goblins will share some things between each other - Although beards is an annoying one. Goblin's have a weird headshape that seems to completely lack a chin, so all the dwarven beards hover or have a thick moustache that covers the face.
Plus, even though most of the hairs did indeed not look right is most body types, the option to use it is enough of a reason to keep it, there is not other mod YET that does this, and the cycling was not a problem either, as there was i think 100 hair types and each one was different enough to don't be as painful to cycle thought like the 250+ body types or hair colors that hardly changed from one another.
I'll make an update to allow similaly built races to share hair, but if you were hoping for a Dwarf Beard on a Human Body then you're most likely out of luck as it doesn't fit right
Thank you for all the feedback.
@Silveryte - That's pretty much the deal, except now I've put the Hero Bodies back to their respective races. All the Scenes, Postures, Colours, Eyes and Eyebrows are unlocked through the non-race-specific Hero Customization Set.
All that would needed to be done is to create a mod that has both mine and your mods as dependency, after that we open that same file and make sure your stuff and my backgrounds are all in.
I'm making an update and i'll take a look later when i finish to see if this is possible.
That's because my mod doesn't have those backgrounds enabled. It might also be a priority issue. As it is, the way this mod works is it enables and changes a lot of things but it's all inside one single (or a couple at most) file(s), and the other character creation mods will use this same file - this means that most if not all changes in this mod will be overwritten by a mod with a higher priority. If the new backgrounds are added by a lower priority mod, then this mod would've overwritten it and not allowed those backgrounds due to this mod not having them enabled in the first place. I'm not sure how to make it compatible but I can work on it at a future date to see what I can do.
Does add a huge amount of scrolling though- if there was a separate file for female and male not able to choose other gender clothes,or hugely different size races not able to choose the other, might ease it up,- on the other hand, though not used them yet, some of the male outfits looked quite good on female when making my latest chars :)
Gigantic dwarf beard coming from the nose.
You continue to amaze me with your work on this mod! I had no idea it was even possible to add heros-only attires in this way. Kudos! Look forward to anything else you pull out of your hat. :P
And thank you.
I'll look into it. When I tested ingame, the Draconian Horns worked fine - so then I done the same for all the hairs but didn't test it after that.

For a list of all the changes, see the latest Change Note. I've unlocked quite a few hair options for multiple races.
What I could do to make things a little easier is copy every hair/beard style to the Shared pack..

It's the reason why you can't put Halfling hair or body parts on a Human, because you end up with this; http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/420314861896909349/6F0F4A9E625B271AF9DF06C988D53325B572A330/

Because the proportions are messed up when they scale up.
What I can do is review the stuff, Draconian horns should be available for every race As a general guide I unlocked most things for races of similar build and height.
anyway this mod is great and thank you for your effort
I'm not sure how this affects heroes, as I haven't looked into them much at all. In fact, I can't even find where proper hero data is stored - only the default preset. :(
Thanks for the praise!
Also, @TheSpeaker: I tried to look for flag colors but I have no idea where they could be in the game files. I'll try looking again, but I'm clueless right now. Sorry!
Regardless, can't wait to see more from you. I *love* mods that add a ton of creative variety like these. Thank you!
