But I can't agree with your opinion that complicated solution is not worth solving.
I don't like the layout either - there are a lot of ways to get distracted or lost in this chamber.
The music is pretty awesome for a test but it's the only positive thing I can find.
No, I didn't manage to solve it but I watched The MAD Fool's walkthrough and I think it's so complicated that it's not worth solving it. :/
Actualy the pedestal button was supposed to respawn both cubes, but something had gone wrong and it didn't. Now it's fixed.
I was also able to get trapped 2 twice.
Trap 1: I 1st placed the left cube on the far piston platform button and then placed right cube on right near button. I ran though fizzler; I pressed cubes’ pedestal button, nothing happen and I was stuck.
Trap 2: This happened while I was trying figure out how to get the left cube off the left near button. I shot portal with funnel to the right side, rode funnel heading to the right side. While doing so I quickly shot a portal to the portal surface behind the grating and the right near button and then back (and down) to where it was to ketch me before falling into goo. This moved the left cube off the left near button, but now the cube was in a position where it could not be moved any further.
You might just want to make is so that cubes can be reset at any time and place the pedestal button behind a permanent fizzler.
