Boom Lift Mk.1

Description
CHEK OUT Boom Lift Mk.2 !!!!!!!!!!! The Blue vehicle is the Mk.2 version, chek it out

The Boom-Lift NO MODS REQUIERED !

PS: Remove the torque in a rotor called Boom Pivit. its the rotor that connects the boom to the vehicle, it is also inculded in the basket rotation group, turn off all torque and breaking torque on it !

This is another concept/creation for a usefull vehicle for planets.

Recently i started playing survival on a planet and I instantly noticed that building/fixing something tall was a problem/challenge.

Starting to build a base and walls and having to runn upp/down to get materials to continue building or making stairs as you go higher and higher is time concuming for some.

I made this vehicle because i like to play the game as close to reality as posible. Sure, you can build a small ship with a welder/grinder and cargo container and fly arround and weld/grind things. I preffer to do it the slow way :) And I realy real realy like ground vehicles in Spaceengineers.

The Lift is remote-controll operated. Should you not be able to acess it, grind down the remote-controll block and antenna, replace it with your own and set owhnership to (me) you, so that the vehicle belongs to you.

The lift has a "basket" that you can go into. its abit tricky to get into, lower the arm as far as you can, then extend the boom til the basket is on the ground, you can also tilt the basket so its easyer to get in to it.

The lift rotates just like a real boom lift and extends aswell. i did not manage to fix a timer block and set max angle on the basket, so you have to do that manualy and at the same time as you are raising it, the speed of the basket rotation is set so that it should keep horizontal-level as you rais it of the ground.

When you stand on the ground, you can build 2 station blocks high. The boom lets you build 6-7 block.

It has rear wheel steering,(you can turn on front aswell if you want to)

Be carefull when you are driving it. This is not a race-car so be gentle, a lift like this in real life dos not go very fast either. Be extra carefull driving it if it is fully extended and rotated to a side. turning to fast can cause it to flipp on the side.

The basket contains several small cargo containers you can fill upp with materials so ou can saty upp the and keep building.

The Lifts is powered by 2 batteries and has a connector so you can recharge it.

Have funn and I hope it helps/inspires you when it come to building that tall tower or fixing you stationary drill, or when you runn out of hydrogen and your jetpack cant help you.

@^2Trigger^8Finger i do, dont think LSG gave it a long enough feature though, he only had a minute of using it, ive looked and not found any mod or anything that adds that kind of control, shall add it to the ideas list on the forum

i dont think there is a feature like that in SE; I would like that myself to be able to hold a button to activate and releas to stop, but i dont think there is a feture like that in the game. Thx for the coment :) im glad you like it

keep it up, ive been using the mk 2 in my survival world and it helps so much, just be nice if the added control so that you can just press a button to turn rotor one way then another to turn the other, or just an option to rotate while your holding the button and not on/off
