this is a realy realy realy old build i did a longtime ago. the game has uppdated 99999 times after this was made. the way things used to work in the past are probably all broken now ;/

OK, plz notify me if you find anything :)
The Lerone 25 Nov, 2015 @ 1:53pm
@^2Trigger^8Finger i do, dont think LSG gave it a long enough feature though, he only had a minute of using it, ive looked and not found any mod or anything that adds that kind of control, shall add it to the ideas list on the forum
SpetS 24 Nov, 2015 @ 7:44am
so, hmm, why I didnt saw this before?
Enngie1  [author] 23 Nov, 2015 @ 7:30pm
@Ages, chek out Boom Lift Mk.2
Ages 23 Nov, 2015 @ 6:20pm
lol I love it.
Enngie1  [author] 23 Nov, 2015 @ 4:52pm
i dont think there is a feature like that in SE; I would like that myself to be able to hold a button to activate and releas to stop, but i dont think there is a feture like that in the game. Thx for the coment :) im glad you like it
The Lerone 23 Nov, 2015 @ 4:23pm
keep it up, ive been using the mk 2 in my survival world and it helps so much, just be nice if the added control so that you can just press a button to turn rotor one way then another to turn the other, or just an option to rotate while your holding the button and not on/off
Enngie1  [author] 23 Nov, 2015 @ 3:42pm
LSG Did a video on it :O :D
Silent Hawk 23 Nov, 2015 @ 1:34pm
@Abe Lincoln.
lol i agree

This is awesome, creations like this are what the game is all about,
Ronald McDonald 23 Nov, 2015 @ 10:50am
This is great. This is the type of thing that makes me so excited about this game- the trivial stuff and ability to make functional construction equipment.
SteloNLD 23 Nov, 2015 @ 9:41am
Nice, i need this in orde get on top of my ships ;) so dam anoying when the roof gets dammaged.
Enngie1  [author] 23 Nov, 2015 @ 8:38am
It is perfectly stationary when idle, the spinning has to do with tension when merging rotors, you have to displace the rotor heads to remove the tension. no annyong beep beep im working here sound. ^^ The Mk.2 Lift is abit better designed and has orange rotating lights.
Kamui Xenom 23 Nov, 2015 @ 8:36am
nice idea :)
Eddy 23 Nov, 2015 @ 4:31am
cool
. 23 Nov, 2015 @ 2:09am
Does it move when Idle?
All my piston/rotor merged creations spin wild on planet grav.
Kronic_Rogue 23 Nov, 2015 @ 12:37am
No Annoying Beeping?
Enngie1  [author] 22 Nov, 2015 @ 12:54pm
@ Error 404 and @ Gusset_Tugger. CHek out Boom Lift Mk.2 Iproved basket and longer extension.
Nutriapfleger 22 Nov, 2015 @ 12:08pm
AWESOME
G_Tugg 22 Nov, 2015 @ 5:12am
Awesome, the cargo containers on the basket are a nice touch.
Enngie1  [author] 20 Nov, 2015 @ 12:34pm
@Fatman, and evryone else: Chek out Boom Lift Mk.2 I redesigned the basket and I hope this is better/more usefull for evryone :)
Enngie1  [author] 20 Nov, 2015 @ 7:18am
@Fatman I did figure that a seat might be nessesary, thank you for doing so. and a max angle on rotors aswell, i think il have to go back on it and reedesign the basket.
Dr Fraud 20 Nov, 2015 @ 3:56am
@Trigger. I've made a minor change to your basket design. I replaced the 3 small containers across the back with a passenger seat set up and back over the pivots.
I did this after an attempt to move the lift resulted in me being beaten to death by the insides of the basket. Seatbelts save lives.
A useful consequence of this is it's easier to mount the basket from the ground. When I leave the seat I'm standing in the basket not back on the ground.
Another change is I've set rotor limits after the rotors went too far and caused the lift to launch itself in a tumble across the ground. (KEEN, fix the damn rotors already)
Dr Fraud 20 Nov, 2015 @ 3:47am
@Sparky. Alt-F10 to access Space Master. Tick the box in the upper right, this will allow you to paste (ctrl-v) completed blueprints into your survival world as if you were in creative.
Due to limitations in the Blueprint system it's not possible to use a projector to display a blueprint with multiple grids/parts separated by pistons or rotors.
Sparky28 20 Nov, 2015 @ 12:33am
how can i get this into my survival game? if i use a projector in only projects the base up to the rotors nothing after that
Dr Fraud 19 Nov, 2015 @ 4:37pm
I'll just tack one onto your design and turn off basket rotors... and crash to my death.
Enngie1  [author] 19 Nov, 2015 @ 4:34pm
Have tought about it, but not tested, i doubt it will work but go ahead and try it :)
Dr Fraud 19 Nov, 2015 @ 4:32pm
Epiphany, gyroscope as leveling mechanism.
Enngie1  [author] 19 Nov, 2015 @ 4:29pm
Can work, It is abit complext to make 1 tho. Feel free to make it and show me, Iv made mine and im happy with it. A hanging basket proved to be hard to make and it also limits the area arround you to reach. Also when you stand on an object that moves, it just glides under you and you remain stationary, With the way I made mine = it gives you 360 clearence to work on and you are as high upp as the lift goes. I'm nor sure what a parallelle riged arm lif is, but it sound like it needs alot more rotors and settings. Siccor lift is a dooable thing but that aswell requieres alot of rotors and a long time to make, specialy if you do it in survival. I wanted to keep my design as simple as posible, The basket can even be held by 1 rotor, and the boom is raised/lowered with the piston so there is no need to set any max/min limit on rotors or any speed on them, they just hang there loose and rotate freely. Simple design for a survival scenario that can be put together in no time :)
Dr Fraud 19 Nov, 2015 @ 4:19pm
What about a scissor lift?
Dr Fraud 19 Nov, 2015 @ 4:18pm
Alernate thought. Replace piston boom with parrallel rigid arms. (Really old school lift design). As the main arm lifts the basket the second arm keeps it level. Love parrallelograms.
Enngie1  [author] 19 Nov, 2015 @ 4:12pm
I have tryed the comcept of freehanging basket, and it did not work. The basket was balanced and hanging fine and free, it naturaly leveld itself. But the problem is: When the basket is hanging freely it acts as it is not a part of the vehicle. if you try to move in the basket you end upp pushing it and it tilts the whole vehicle, therfor the level of the basket must be operated
Enngie1  [author] 19 Nov, 2015 @ 2:48pm
As long as the wheight below the point of the pivot is higher then the weight above, whatever is attached will allways stay leveled. il do a quick reconstuction and post it.
Dr Fraud 19 Nov, 2015 @ 2:25pm
The point of the mass block woud be to move the Baskets center of mass below the pivot. The basket would still need a redesign to move the storage to the rear as an additional counterweight.
Set limits to the rotor angles to control tipping, will that work for unpowered rotors? Perhaps a physical stop below the axis?
Enngie1  [author] 19 Nov, 2015 @ 1:54pm
For self-leveling, the basket would have to be attached above horisontal middle and vertacal center, so that its hanging loose, gravity would ensure that it stayes level because the point of pivit is high, but i wanted it to be more like the realistic thing, thanks for the tip tho, il test out soome more functions :)
Dr Fraud 19 Nov, 2015 @ 12:26pm
Take a look at the "Move It" script for easier control from the basket.
Dr Fraud 19 Nov, 2015 @ 11:07am
Perhaps a Mass block slung under the basket could make it self-leveling?
Tamster 19 Nov, 2015 @ 12:11am
are you familiar with SE multiplayer and piston/rotor ? :D :steamsad::steamhappy:
Enngie1  [author] 18 Nov, 2015 @ 8:49am
@muraded: why would it not work in multiplayer ??
Tamster 18 Nov, 2015 @ 1:35am
my only fear is : multiplayer ^^ won't work that well :steamsad:
hegevictoria 17 Nov, 2015 @ 7:18am
this is awesome! :D du e flink ^^
Enngie1  [author] 17 Nov, 2015 @ 6:05am
If you need any help, just ask. Connecting the rotors and piston can be tricky, and reducing the tension so it dos not spinn out of controll. Chek the vehicle and look at the displacement of the rotors if you cant get it to be steady.
Tamster 17 Nov, 2015 @ 3:09am
i'm gonna build this now ! ^^ you can even repurpose the basket for drilling ! put 2-3 drill there and lets go ! ^^
loupdu25 17 Nov, 2015 @ 2:50am
great !
