Report a translation problem
The Visigoths, once Iberized forgot or were forbidden the usage of the bow and the sling too, if I remember (because there was surely a law in Tribal Iberia about not using bow for warfare, under the consequence of death penalty).
Because when the Visigoths arrived in Iberia at the end of the Western Roman Empire they used bows, but now in AOC they do not.
Same for the Byzantines.
In the end of the 7th century they discovered the formula to make Greek Fire, but then, almost a century later, they forgot it, its like giving up a machine gun to stay with slings
I don't know if its intentional (chivalrous) or national amnesia but come on, it feels so weird.
