Polder Pump Mod

Description
Adds a Polder Pump to the game. In case you changed your mind about that rustic lake in the middle of your map, but you don't want to start all over. Once placed it will start draining any surrounding water in an ever increasing radius. Your new land will be muddy and dirty with the occasional rubble, but otherwise ready for development.

Pumping away the water from a large map all the way to the edges, with the pump placed in the center, will take approximately 5 minutes (real time). Once all water is gone, you can safely dump or dismantle the pump, or leave it.

Because of a known bug (#9507) and mod limitations the pump does not require electrical or pipe connections. I will add this in the future when it becomes possible.

One way to create a circle is to
1: Select all water tiles

2: Use "sqrt(x^2+y^2)=distance"
"sqrt()" Square root
"x" Difference in x position between tile and pump
"y" Difference in y position between tile and pump
"^2" Squared, To the power of two

3: Select tile that returns smallest value

Has anyone been able to get this mod working recently?
It doesn't seem to do anything for me at the moment, and I'm not sure if it's something I've done wrong or just the mod being outdated or incompatible with DLC or something..

thank you, I placed water in my prison and prisoners started drowning in it, this helped me get rid of it

Funny you should mention that about the circle, because that's exactly one of the things I've been busy implementing! I did not like the square but I have to admit I spent a decent amount of time on finding a way to fit concentric circles onto PA's grid of squares.
As for the manual switching, that's an interesting thing to add as well. Though with the current amount of feature creep going on combined with a lot of RL stuff demanding my time it's probably going to be a while before release yet.
Either way thanks for sharing your ideas, I appreciate it!

also an idea to reduce lag is to make the polder pump just look for the closest water tile and destroy it, therefore making the pump more gradual, more balanced, and actually pump an expanding circle instead of a square. additionally, try making it act like a power station so it can manually be switched on and off. that's just my feedback, still a really usefull item!

@Darmagon I've just checked with the most recent version of Prison Architect (v2.0-14k) and the current version of the mod (v1.2-13j) works fine for me.

Once you've subscribed to the mod, you may need to close and relaunch the game. Then make sure the mod is active: from the game's Main Menu, click Extras, click Mods, tick the box in front of this mod, then click Apply.

If you've done all that, the Polder Pump should appear in the Objects menu. If you have multiple mods it is possible they interfere with each other, which could lead to the Polder Pump missing its graphics. Though even without its graphics it should still appear in the Objects menu by name, it may just have a different icon or none at all.

I cannot find it in any category, did I install the mod incorrectly or something? I just did the normal workshop download process of hitting subscribe and restarting my game...
