Gaka Target Painter (Decommissioned)

Description
GetFreeDestination is officially removed from game, therefore this item is now only a relic of the past.

Point the Target Painter at an enemy base or target to get Target Coordinates, Distance to Target and Target Radius information. Maximum seek distance is 100km.

Fully Vanilla, no mods are required.

Button #1 : Seek for a target in front of the ship and return coordinates, distance and radius information.
Button #2 : Detect a nearby object. Unfortunately it also include ore boulders (API limitation).
Button #3 : Camera

Is it possible to get similar functionality from the new raycast system?

Just found this. Looks awesome, can't wait to test later.

Have you read any of The Expanse series by chance? They use the same terminology - i.e. target "painting" lasers

Thanks for the reply. I have found a way to fix the problem, for some reason the program block was unresponsive, and deleting it and replacing it seemed to fix it.

@Crystrade havent touched this script for long, but if not wrong the remote control block names must be caps and the direction must point forward. sometimes it may be pointing somewhere else other than forward. Also rotors, docked drones and projections interferes with the lock on

Hey Alysius, I've been really enjoying this build, and have been attempting to use the scripts inside other forms of ships. I can manage to seek a nearby object with the proximity scan, but I still cannot manage to get the target system working. I've listed the names correctly to work with the script but it doesn't detect or outputs any sort of null data. I would appreaciate if you could help me identify what I'm doing wrong. Thanks!

@Sanya The GPS format is also printed to the Public Title of the Text Panel.

Anyway to get the coords directly? Instead of having to type them out.

@All I tried the mines and it is working as intended. Probably a few patches ago there was a visit from Clang God.
