Description
To paraphrase GATC: "Do you like rectangle?"

This mod adds a new faction, the Systems Coalition Remnant, and their associated block set.

In aeons past, the great Systems Coalition stood as an exemplar of a prosperous and advanced society, welcoming all who would embrace its ideals. Protecting the Coalition was an automated navy, run by the transcribed minds of the civilisation's greatest naval officers and backed with some of the most advanced AI technology ever known.

However, the great Coalition navy could not protect their people from internal strife. When society finally fell, the Coalition's self-maintaining navy was left without purpose, alone in the void. Now they wander, driven mad by countless centuries of stagnation.

- 22 new modules, not including size variations.
- 24 faction ships and 8 stations to populate the world.
- Cannons which start short range, but gain range when mounted next to other cannons.
- Cannon modifiers which influence the behaviour of cannon batteries to which they are attached.
- "Field Propulsor" thrusters, which must be mounted pointing where you want to go, NOT where you want to push away. High thrust, and easy to arrange in tight spaces, but unable to be chained like normal thrusters.
- Slow drone "overlord" which launches and maintains its own drones.
- Shield tanking: weak hull and strong shields which are available even for the smallest ships.
- No lasers.

This faction is causing my game to crash when i start as them :/

Also I'm going to reduce the range boost from (350 + 150*n) * 0.9825 ^n to (385 + 115*n) * 0.9825 ^n, which reduces their peak range by about 1k to ~3k.

In a thread about modded factions you said "Do you like triangle?" about one of my others, the Triumvirate :D

The main damage boost is adding more guns - the boosters are velocity, fire rate, and damage at the cost of a lot of range. The fire rate and velocity addons are additive rather than multiplicative, so you'd need a lot of generators to keep it going. Because you have to add more guns for more damage, the power cost multiplies too. The boosts are square1, so they can only attach to one group of guns.

I think it's a better solution than the tinkrell, but obviously not as controlled as limited slots like the marklob.

When/Where did I say that O.o (can't remember!)

I hope you limited the efficiency off the batteries, or it can become Tinkrell++
(Gona have a look myself a bit late (once I'm out of the librarby ;p))
