Nemo V1.2 - Vanilla Atmospheric Mining Ship

Description
Hi all,

Here's Nemo V1.2, an improved version of my original Nemo Miner.

Nemo is an Atmospheric Flying Mining Ship. It has all the items you would expect any mining ship to have, and more:

1) Drills (duh)
2) Ore Detector
3) Atmospheric Thrusters, with a focus on Forward (6 small), Backward (6 Small), and Up (2 Small + 3 Large)
4) 1 Medium Cargo Container
5) 2 Connectors
6) MMaster's Configurable LCDs for Ore and other information
7) Hover Altitude Aligner by p3st|cIdE - In-Game Script for both HORIZONTAL and VERTICAL attitude control

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Guide A - How To Drill with Nemo V1.2:

-- Fly around using the Ore Detector to reach your desired ore deposit
-- Point nose STRAIGHT down
-- With Drills Tool selected, Right-Click to carve a Mine Shaft straight down to the ore
-- Once you reach the ore, continue Right-Clicking to go just passed the ore
-- Level Nemo out so you are horizontal
-- With Drills Tool selected, Left-Click to harvest ore vein
-- When finished, ascend out the Mine Shaft you carved out using Up Thrusters (spacebar)
!!CAUTION!! -- DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CARVE ANOTHER MINE SHAFT if you've got ore in Nemo already!

Guide B - How to Activate Cruise Control with Nemo V1.2:
!!CAUTION!! -- OUT OF DATE, HOVER SCRIPT HAS BEEN IMPROVED SINCE THESE STEPS
-- Switch to Nemo's #2 Toolbar
-- Use Hover Altitude Aligner HORI (press #1) to keep Nemo horizontal
-- Use W to reach desired speed then put 1 pip into All Forward Thrust Override (press #8 once)
-- The combination of Hover Altitude Aligner HORI and Forward Thrust Override is essentially cruise control for conserving fuel
-- To stop, Decrease All Forward Thrust Override (press #9 til disabled), and stop Hover Altitude Aligner HORI (press #2)

only 3-4 days of playing SE, so take this comment appropriately...
made the nemo and used it. going to the mining area it handled just fine but on way back full (of stone) the maneuverability went sideways, literally. was this a symptom of being fully loaded?

Also, when I got to base and connected up to it to dump all my stone, I found large piles of stone all over the place yeeted out of the ship. I guess this is normal maybe? not sure where they were coming from.

@Coolb2 No, they're not needed. They are backup reactors in-case the batteries run out of energy and you need to quick power... say the connector to get it re-attached to your main base for a proper recharge

Hi there, i build the nemo, looks great, but i notice it has 2 small reactor, but since they removed Uranium from planets i can't power them, are they absolutely needed.? i would assume yes

cool! Glad you got it working - enjoy!

Great little miner though for early game. I love my little nemo, so thanks!

Short answer is yes, but I had to remove all the timer blocks and use the gravity align script instead.

No idea lol

Does this still work?

Tuuvas I updated the hover script. Calculates mass & planets the official way, has terrain-relative lock support! Fun times. But I suck at building good efficient hovercraft. Keep getting the dreaded "WARNING! Insufficient thrust capability!" message and if lucky, narrowly avoiding colliding with the ground. :) Sometimes unlucky. I went off a tall mountain when I first got it working and turned a nice ship into a nice crater due to that.

@Tuuvas Thank you very much!
