Nemo V1.2 - Vanilla Atmospheric Mining Ship

only 3-4 days of playing SE, so take this comment appropriately...
made the nemo and used it. going to the mining area it handled just fine but on way back full (of stone) the maneuverability went sideways, literally. was this a symptom of being fully loaded?

Also, when I got to base and connected up to it to dump all my stone, I found large piles of stone all over the place yeeted out of the ship. I guess this is normal maybe? not sure where they were coming from.

@Coolb2 No, they're not needed. They are backup reactors in-case the batteries run out of energy and you need to quick power... say the connector to get it re-attached to your main base for a proper recharge

Hi there, i build the nemo, looks great, but i notice it has 2 small reactor, but since they removed Uranium from planets i can't power them, are they absolutely needed.? i would assume yes
Tuuvas  [author] 4 Apr, 2019 @ 1:57pm
cool! Glad you got it working - enjoy!
Spicie 3 Apr, 2019 @ 9:08pm
Great little miner though for early game. I love my little nemo, so thanks!
Spicie 3 Apr, 2019 @ 9:08pm
Short answer is yes, but I had to remove all the timer blocks and use the gravity align script instead.
Tuuvas  [author] 3 Apr, 2019 @ 7:17pm
No idea lol
Spicie 26 Mar, 2019 @ 10:22am
Does this still work?

Tuuvas I updated the hover script. Calculates mass & planets the official way, has terrain-relative lock support! Fun times. But I suck at building good efficient hovercraft. Keep getting the dreaded "WARNING! Insufficient thrust capability!" message and if lucky, narrowly avoiding colliding with the ground. :) Sometimes unlucky. I went off a tall mountain when I first got it working and turned a nice ship into a nice crater due to that.

@Tuuvas Thank you very much!
Tuuvas  [author] 9 Oct, 2016 @ 4:50pm
@Henakk Thanks for pointing that out. I've updated the scripts to their latest revisions, and everything looks to be working now.
Henakk 9 Oct, 2016 @ 3:26am
Hey I love your miner but recently I built one and the scripts do not work, any plan on updating them? If not can you point me in the right direction at least for the LCD panels they are a great asset to my operations planetside.

@[AT]Driky The two small reactors alone are definitely not enough power to use Nemo. They are used as "kickstart" reactors in the event that your batteries die or say for example... you forget to dock Nemo to a station and it runs out of juice - in which case you can shove a couple ingots into the reactors and get just enough power to turn on Nemo's connector and lock it with the station (assuming you were lined up with the station connector already)

So in fact my problem is indeed a problem, the two reactor do not charge the batteries
p3st|cIdE 19 Aug, 2016 @ 8:54am
It just fixes lots of breakage caused by recent update. Have not had much time to work on scripts lately.
Tuuvas  [author] 19 Aug, 2016 @ 8:02am
@p3st|cIdE woot! Will have to check it out! Any new features worth mentioning? Or should I just stop being lazy and read the description in for the script?
p3st|cIdE 19 Aug, 2016 @ 7:35am
I updated the script it uses, you may want to get the new version! ;)
Driky 19 Aug, 2016 @ 2:59am
i can answer my own problem : it was just the server that needed a reboot. The eletrical system was buging.
Driky 19 Aug, 2016 @ 12:49am
nemo is in overload with the two reactor working. Am i missing something ?

Nemo should be able to carry a max load (as much ore as it can hold). Of course, you need to make sure you utilize those large downward facing thrusters for that situation. Use the 2nd toolbar and #1 to stay in a horizontal position
NoxBonaNL 29 Jul, 2016 @ 12:21am
Btw what is the max cappacity ? like what can it fly without crashing?
NoxBonaNL 29 Jul, 2016 @ 12:21am
i found that out one the miner that you actualy had stuff setup on <> buttons :P so on ship 1 its fixed i actualy made 2 of em but the 2th one is not cooping with me :( so i need to slap him hard! but other then that they work great!

Normally you can just re-run the timer block which runs the script. That should update the text panel with the current Ore information.

Now, just keep in mind, since Cockpit storage is not considered "inventory", any ore stored in the cockpit is NOT accounted for in the script. It is possible that you have not yet filled the cockpit, and are therefore not seeing values in the text panel.
NoxBonaNL 28 Jul, 2016 @ 4:29pm
The Lcds are not working correctly. it does not show how many ores i got :( is ther a fix for this ?
Tuuvas  [author] 7 Mar, 2016 @ 8:15am
@ [S.C.] Worsin

Regarding the batteries issue, its possible that you've got a couple of the batteries set to recharge. Otherwise, if your batteries are indeed fully charged, you should have up to an hour of "hover" flight.

Regarding the 2 side large thrusters falling off the ship - I never have an issue myself as long as I'm careful not to bump too hard into the walls of the hole. Whether or not its an atmospheric ship isn't the issue... its more about being careful in a gravity-affected environment. Just remember, you won't be able to stay in the air unless your most powerful thrusters are the ones combating gravity. If you're tilted left/right, you will slowly drift in those respective directions until you re-align yourself with the horizon.
[S.C.] Worsin 4 Mar, 2016 @ 5:29pm
Further testing shows me that this like all other atmospheric miners falls apart really easy. The main problem with this ship is the 2 side large thrusters keep falling off the ship when you get down into a hole.

going to try adding supports around them to see if this will help lol
[S.C.] Worsin 4 Mar, 2016 @ 3:02pm
I built this ship and when fully charged it says i have 5 min of fuel time when hovering with no inventory.

All Batteries are turned on and ive tested with and without the reactors going
Tuuvas  [author] 18 Jan, 2016 @ 11:00am
ok, just found a broken version of Nemo. Look for "p3stcIdE -DEBUG PURPOSES-" in my workshop
Tuuvas  [author] 18 Jan, 2016 @ 10:37am
Ah yeah, I corrected the issue between this morning and last night unfortunately. Mostly because I already put this item up for subscription on the subreddit.

If you'd like I can make a quick build replicating the issue. I'll name it after your username
p3st|cIdE 18 Jan, 2016 @ 9:44am
I'm not seeing any problems with HORI, did you actually redo the ship oriented the canonical way?! seems so. Well I can't repro that part then. I'll try to make something and test on my own. For now I'm going to work on getting VERT working and then try to merge them.
p3st|cIdE 17 Jan, 2016 @ 5:59pm
but not tonight
p3st|cIdE 17 Jan, 2016 @ 5:58pm
I'm going to fiddle with this until I get it working with just one copy of my script :)
